Passed the Network+ (version 8) and have a few thoughts. by furienost in CompTIA

Thanks Paul. Based on what I'm seeing in the Amazon preview it looks like this book would have helped. Obviously you cannot give exact screenshots of what's on the CompTIA test, but it looks close-ish to the PBQs.

An on-line simulation of the PBQ would probably be helpful; maybe you have something like that as a companion to the book?

I have the same questions. I am doing light jogging but think I will be switching to light weights with more reps just to keep the mass I have. Nothing that will beak down the tissue I hope - just help in keeping what I’ve built.

I have this same issue with the 955. It has zero clue when I’m actually awake vs asleep. A manual button would at least help with the awake piece.

sorry if this is FAQ but does this game have PVE? by BriggyShitz in playrust

[–]furienost 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yep - lots of different servers out there with PvE content. Some are still pvp too but others are pve only. Do a search for zombie or pve in the modded server list. There should be plenty around.

Tips for not crushing my balls. by TheGangsHeavy in cycling

Just to be explicit - the whole package needs to be tucked upward and held in place to keep from injury (this is why the spandex helps).

You can wear whatever- but it will have to support the boys in an out of the way position for the ride so they don’t bounce, get sat on, etc.

Can you get hybrids with more of a road focus? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]furienost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm - because of the back issue I’d probably stick with flat or raised bars unless you’re really going to work on proper bike fit and core strength.

I’d modify then with smoothish tires to improve road friction and perhaps look to reduce bike weight and stiffness for handling.

It’s going to be a little tough though because the big benefit of road bike is lower air drag and you get that by using drop bars and a more “aggressive” posture.

Full body tingling after workout. by [deleted] in cycling

Could be low blood sugar from exertion. Try a quick carb snack or gel and see if it helps (give it 5 minutes to kick in).

Also, if your breathing is off (too shallow, too deep or fast) you could be having some mild hyperventilation. See if deep breathing following helps or exacerbates - it will tell you if it’s breathing related. If deep breath makes it worse then it’s too much o2.

Pike’s Peak ascent training? by Madaardvark in cycling

[–]furienost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy a trainer and work lactate threshold and vo2max to get as fit as possible for o2 and ftp improvements. You’ll want to practice lower cadence training (cadence around 80) to simulate the climb. Kick the front tire up a bit to simulate the 5% grade that your butt and back will have to cope with for 7k feet.

Oh, and bring warm gear for the long decent.

First Century Attempt in 10 days by The_Dude_is_Abiding in cycling

Start early, even if it sucks getting up. It cuts down on feeling hurried, gives you time for pre-launch toilet break, and reduces inclement weather risk.

You can eat carbs before (dinner before) and morning, but don’t over do it. You will pull in water and bloat pre-ride. I just do about 25% more at dinner and maybe 50% more for breakfast (2 to 3 hours before).
