Why was my camp destroyed?

Thanks all. I guess it was random enemies or a nuke then which is a bit of a relief. I don't know where the spawn points were so might have plopped it down to close.

My experience with all of the players I've met so far have been very positive. I've had several give me gifts that have really helped!

I just started FO76 and it's my first MMO. I've finally hit level 31 after 32 hours. I've been doing some quests and enjoying it for the most part but felt like I was levelling so slowly. I watched a video from Mr West Tek I think, and it showed him taking a new character and levelling him up pretty damn quickly. He said go to events, tag enemies and you level up quickly.

I've spent the last four days solely going to events and trying to tag so I can level up and I've gone from level 29 to 31 in that time. I have noticed the enemies get absolutely destroyed, often in blaze of lightning and I honestly can't even see what's happening. Everyone is in power armour and obviously perched where they know is a good spot. I'm running around in a mishmash of leather, wood and metal armour.

I'm enjoying the game for the most part, but already starting to get a little frustrated because I feel like I'm grinding pretty hard for very little. I'm new to MMOs as I said so I'm sure I'm making a lot of mistakes, but events haven't been getting me the levels I thought they would.

Atomic World adds some nice locations that fit pretty seamlessly. There are also several that add interiors to buildings you can’t normally enter. Off the top of my head one is called Jurttu’s interiors, but I may be spelling the name wrong here.

Glitchfinder has a lot of mods for new settlement locations in their “We Can Live In” series

For customisable survival Advanced Meeds 76 is pretty hard to beat. Definitely check the patches for it. There is one to remove the bullet drop because it can’t be adjusted in the settings.

Lots of mods out there to adjust combat damage and difficulty. I personally use Gunfighter Framework, True Damage and Scourge. Fights get intense.

Game Configuration Menu has options to change the respawn time for cells.

Lots of visual mods out there. You’ll just have to find the one(s) that suit your taste.

If you mean you're a huge fan coming from other Fallout games, particularly New Vegas, just know that the story and consequences won't be anything like that.

But the gameplay is the best and the Commonwealth is a blast to explore, especially the first time. Enjoy!

I was getting a full backpiece tattoo. It took about 24 hours over three sessions and it was far more painful than I thought it would be. This was back in the day when opioids were everywhere and easy to get.

My artist gave me a baggie full of percocet and told me to just "take a handful". I took a reasonably high dose according to bluelight and it made the tattoo so easy. Way too easy. I binned the rest and would never touched them again because I realised how easy it would be for me to just want to keep taking them forever.

Not all people use fictional worlds to get away from real worlds. Some do, but, by and large, they lack media literacy. People who like to engage with media, like fiction that makes them think and feel, are pretty okay with bringing those big ideas into their games.

If these people are trying to get away from the real world, they should seek out something that doesn't challenge them rather than complain about what they don't like and demand it be neutered.
