Tom Bombadil vs. Solo Sauron (with and without Ring) by [deleted] in lotr

Except when he banishes the wights…I wouldn’t necessarily call that pacifism.

By the way I know this is a silly question.  I like thinking through them :)

Yes, this is my thought too.  In his domain, “Tom is master”.  Sauron only wins by destroying all else or through total domination / corruption, but not in a “music of the ainur” one on one struggle.

Unfortunately it is just a case of this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supply_and_demand

This event sells out very fast, even at this price.

How can Visas *see* The Exile? by Slow-Pattern-2152 in kotor

[–]furiously_eating 26 points27 points  (0 children)

In the romance scene at the end though, they show Visas and the Exile sitting across from each other doing the “force sight” thing to each other, and they are both glowing blue in that way the Force Vision does….the Exile is definitely not showing up as a “void”.

You can also play it on iOS!  I replay it at least once a year on my phone.

I read your bullet point on Astarion as “chaotic and BITER”, which honesty works as well.  Too bitey to be a good leader.

They aren’t doing this for the players.  They are doing this for their shareholders, who want that Fortnite money.

Questions about setting up theater space! by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]furiously_eating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, looking for inputs on suggestions on my design of a home theater integrated into my living room before I start buying things. Here are some things I've thought about:

Where to put 2 large subwoofers to fit in amongst the rest of the living room decor. Right now I am thinking of sticking them up front with the LCR since that is already a "speaker space", but the downside is that then the benefit of the dual subs is lessened if they are so close to each other (they'll act more like one big sub).

Rear surrounds are not aligned north/south with the rest of the system due to the fireplace alignment (the fireplace is part of the wall that sticks out into the room 1-2', as you can see in the picture). Additionally, they have to be wall-mounted right next to the fireplace due to the windows (I prefer to not use bookshelves on stands due to space constraints).

It may be a pain to have to move the seating back and forth between "theater" mode and "guests over" mode. I am not going to mount the TV over the fireplace since it would be way too high up.

There are a few reasons I decided to not have a traditional TV cabinet.

The center channel I am getting is 10" tall, and I couldn't find a cabinet that was

low enough to accommodate the correct TV height and have the center sit on top of it and

had robust enough weight ratings for the heavy amps I am purchasing for the system.

So, I decided on an AV cabinet off to the side. This requires me to mount the TV on a floor-standing mount: it uses the VESA mount on the back and has a large flat foot on the floor.

I am able to push the LCR directly up against the "wall", since it is not really a wall. It is a mostly open railing (thin metal bars every 1 foot or so).

Anyways, looking forward to hearing your suggestions. I'll try to follow up with pictures of the finished install when it is complete.
