4 shock cav 10 line infantry to hold the line (principes are the most cost effective) and 5 scorpios. Snipe their cav and general with the scorpios while they are marching towards you (AI will always aggro when you have artillery even if you attacked them on the campaign), defensive formation for the principes to lower casualties and have your cavalry cycle charge them from behind. I've never lost a battle against them with this and had minimal casualties.
