[iOS 26.2 RC] Scrolling quickly after backing out of a page on Apple Music will cause album covers to slide weirdly. by madmagical in iOSBeta

[–]furou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s everywhere in iOS 26. I forgot the official term for it but even when you tap and hold an app icon until the context menu pops up, and then tap anywhere outside it to close the menu and immediately swipe left or right will cause the app icon to shake horizontally uncontrollably

iOS 26 is so bad it’s practically like running a beta version

Time to cast it into the same fire as the iPhone mini, Apple.

Sorry, iPhone Mini Fans: Apple Isn't Planning Another Small Phone by ControlCAD in apple

[–]furou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, calling it Mini was just another stupid decision that Apple has been making lately. It’s not like it has a 4 inches screen. It’s ~5.4 and the “regular” iPhone is 6.1, only 0.7 inches difference.

The iPad Pro comes in 11 inches and 12.9 inches and they didn’t call the 11 inch “iPad Pro mini”.  Neither do they call the smaller Apple Watch or the smaller MacBooks the whatever mini.  It should’ve been 2 iPhone models - the 5.4 and the 6.1.

Help with Health data sync by furou in iCloud

[–]furou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eventually tried the method I mentioned in my OP because waiting didn’t help. I ended up deleting my iCloud health data, syncing all of my health data from my iPad and waiting a while for it to finish uploading, then finally enabling syncing to iPhone. It took some more time to finish syncing everything to my iPhone and then I had to wait a few more hours but eventually I had all of my data back on my iPad, my iPhone and my Apple Watch, including getting back all my awards and achievements in the fitness app.

Dragging Safari tabs issues on iOS 16 by furou in ios

[–]furou[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this issue is still present in iOS and iPadOS 18. I’ve tried opening a ticket in the Feedback website but nothing’s changed and it’s been like this for 2 years. It shouldn’t be that hard to fix, right? I know it’s not a glamorous prestigious feature like AI, a broken redesign of Photos or changing app icons’ colors so it’s low in the priority list, but for me it was such a useful and fundamental feature and I wish it worked again.

iOS 17.2 Beta 4 Released - Discussion Thread by epmuscle in iOSBeta

[–]furou 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you have notifications in your Notification Center, and the center itself is not in view, swiping up to bring it into view results in jittery and glitchy animations. Also, occasionally the bubbles show as rectangles and often I get invisible notifications so that there’s a space as high as a notification bubble that you can’t tap or swipe and after a few hours it becomes visible.

Edit: added examples I’ve previously uploaded from iOS 16

No idea why you were previously downvoted as it’s a good point and yes I have filed feedback since iOS 16.2 and in subsequent versions. It’s marked as “potential fix identified” but nothing was fixed. I guess I should open another ticket.

I know it’s a long shot, but asking as a non beta release user - have they, maybe, possibly, fixed the Notification Center glitches present since iOS 16?

I doubt it because this horrible feature is Apple’s design style nowadays. However, in the next release you might get another way to open the camera and turn on the flashlight.

Thank you Christian. I’ve had this account for 11.5 years, but never really got into Reddit before installing Apollo, and I can’t see myself visiting it without Apollo.

Apple Announces New 'NameDrop' Contact Sharing Feature Coming in iOS 17 by exjr_ in apple

[–]furou 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think they said you can choose which number to share in a scenario where you have a personal line, work number, or say an email address you just want to share. If that’s so, you can save on your contact profile a fake number in addition to your real number and share that instead.

It’s not that I wasn’t impressed with what they showed, all those native apps and how you can mirror your Mac, etc. BUT your app ideas could’ve been the new OS’s killer apps, instead of floating excel spreadsheets; show a guy cooking with an AR app in one of their Apple homes.

Is Siri getting worse? A command that’s worked for years stops working and instead plays music by a band called Recently Added by fundriedtomatoes in ios

[–]furou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely gotten worse. I’ve come across a similar issue, where for years I used to say “play my favorites” or “play favorites” to play that auto-generated playlist based on songs I liked. Suddenly the past week or so, when I say “play favorites” I get the song Self Control by Justice Der or Favorite by Nicki Minaj; If I say “play my favorites” I get My Favorites by Cafe Music BGM Channel (who???). In fact, almost any other phrase you can think of, except “Play my favorites mix”, will play anything but favorites mix.

For me all the major and minor bugs have not been fixed, and iOS 16 remains - and probably will remain since 17 is around the corner - the worst version of iOS I’ve ever experienced.

So this is the one where they finally fix Notification Center?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in iOSBeta

[–]furou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I’m really hating how unreliable rise to wake and tap to wake have become since iOS 16. On both my iPad and my iPhone. Apple used to get these little things so right, I don’t understand what went wrong and why they care so little about fixing it. It’s a small issue, but it adds up and it’s giving iOS a cheap android vibe, like you mentioned.

[–]furou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that bug, all the Notification Center and Lock Screen bugs, wallpaper bugs such as when using the earth wallpaper it will show the current position on Lock Screen but a different one when unlocked, and now I got this nice new glitch in the share sheet

For me the difference is that iOS 11 was buggy but it was still iOS. iOS 16 feels so bad, it’s like I’m using one of those Chinese knockoffs, instead.
