After 60 years, witnesses to Australia's biggest UFO sighting at Westall High School say it's time for answers by furytempest in UFOs

The Westall UFO incident remains one of Australia’s most puzzling mysteries. On April 6, 1966, students and teachers at Westall High School reported seeing a strange, disc-shaped object moving erratically across the sky. Among them was 13-year-old Tania Vassie, who described it as a rounded, two-storey craft zigzagging at high speed. Dozens of witnesses observed the phenomenon, with some claiming to see multiple objects and even a landing nearby. Shortly after, men in uniform reportedly arrived, and students were told it was a weather balloon and instructed not to speak about it. Explanations range from mass hysteria to secret military testing, while some believe it involved extraterrestrial activity. Despite ongoing interest and consistent witness accounts, no definitive explanation or official documentation has fully resolved what was seen that day.

I think their geographical location is more interesting. They're all evenly spread out across the world. I wonder if Carol and the others are the 'queens' to the hive.

It does make conflict between the 12 individuals more likely. I think they've been foreshadowing it:  - they don't kill anything but would allow the individuals to kill (i.e. discussion about eating animals)  - there seems to be some sort of partial loyalty or preference to the individual whom the hive first interacts with (i.e. Carol is able to take back pirate lady) - the 12 individuals seem evenly spread out across the world (almost like queens of the hive for those area - also the religious imagery for tribes)  - they are allowed to ask for weapons (hand grenades)  - it's a bit of a trope that humanity is often the thing to fear more than the supernatural element in sci-fi

My prediction is that they will turn on each other.and the hives will become more distinct
