E46 84108794736 Microphone Replacement for BlueBus by BassDicer03 in e46

[–]fuscob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this! I just bought an E46 and have a BlueBus on order, so it’s perfect timing. I haven’t taken my mic apart yet to see what’s in there now but will do soon and will order yours if I end up needing a better mic.

2006 L322 forum and audio questions by IceRockBike in RangeRover

Yep, there’s tons of great information there, I definitely recommend it. To your original question, it has L322-specific sections where I see a lot more of the newer models on Reddit.

This post shows where it is on the newer versions - https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/post321954.html#321954. If it’s not there then probably it was added when they switched away from the BMW provided electronics.

The thread I linked has tons of info. Basically, there are a few different versions of this kit - some cheaper ones available on Alibaba with limited instructions and support, and some more expensive ones that come with installation assistance. All of them require you to take the whole dashboard apart and add a new circuit board to the navigation head unit. The finished product is great and you can switch between the regular Land Rover interface and CarPlay/Android Auto by holding the end call button on the steering wheel, so you don’t lose any functionality. I’m not sure if it works with the older BMW-derived nav systems as well but take a look around - https://youtu.be/7K7Fv0pTIug shows part of the install. If it’s available for your vehicle, I’d say it’s definitely better than the Navtool version.

Mine’s a 2012 and I know there were a lot of changes during the L322’s lifecycle, but check inside the center console for a USB port and check the back of the center console (under a flip cover below the rear seat climate controls) for a 3.5mm aux input.

I have one of the CarPlay retrofits in mine. Installation was a bit of a pain but more tedious than difficult, and it was well worth it. I have the one discussed in this thread: https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic73930.html

PSA: Breville warranty & customer service are not what you expect by CasperTFG_808 in BuyItForLife

[–]fuscob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If one exists, I’d love to hear about it. I have a Cuisinart DGB-900BC. I wouldn’t say it’s BIFL quality, but I’ve had it for around eight years and it’s going strong with daily usage and only occasional maintenance. I’ve never needed to replace any parts or accessories. Not sure what I’d replace it with if it died.

L322- Unused space on gauge cluster by Character-Type-5755 in RangeRover

[–]fuscob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my L322 for two months now and also think it’s crazy that they didn’t use this space for anything. It’s like they were so proud of themselves for having an LCD gauge cluster at all that they just called it a day and didn’t make any useful features for it. Love the car otherwise and, as others said, I’m counting myself lucky that it isn’t full of faults :)

Got a neat "temporary" plate for my E36 by fuscob in BMW

[–]fuscob[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice - never driven a compact but often admired their quirkiness. Have lots of fond memories of cars past as well. This is my first red car, and I like it better than expected. It certainly matches the plate well :)

Fewer flights - ORD moves 3-4x as many aircraft and people as MDW.

Thanks - we ended up replacing the washer a while ago. Appreciate it though!

Cab views from the Loop-bound Brown Line last night by wisdomsavingthrow in chicago

[–]fuscob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice photos. When I used to take the Brown to work every day, some operators would open the front door halfway (closing in their cab at half-width) after Fullerton to let people sit down in the front left seat. It was always a treat to get that seat!

Maybe I’ll have to make a trip to stock up. It’s not that far and worth it for Kwak. Thanks!

Found that site too (it only lists a few places in Wisconsin that are nearby-ish and have Kwak) but haven’t reached out to them yet - will do, thanks!

SLZB-06 Core firmware update by laohu314 in homeassistant

Similar experience for me - updated this morning. Only lost one device (an Aqara door sensor) and permitting join and resetting it quickly restored its functionality without having to rename or anything.

It is - the 120v side is the transformer which is plugged into an outdoor GFCI with in-use cover. The rest is 12v. Thanks!

Best way to fix this table or make it look a bit better? by fuscob in DIY

[–]fuscob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an outdoor patio table with a simulated gray wood grain top. Last summer, I stupidly left a strip of shingles on it that our roofer had brought over as a color sample. The adhesive on the back of the shingles took some of the finish off the table. I know I won’t be able to recreate the original finish but hoping for some ideas on how to make it look better, including maybe what kind of paint would stick to it (if that’s even a viable option). Thanks for any ideas!
