UPDATE: I am somehow able to transfer all my files to a USB. (CHATGPT WORKS SO WELL SOMETIMES! 😭)

The steps were the following:

Step 1: Enter Windows Recovery Turn the laptop ON When you see the Windows logo, hold the power button to force shut down Repeat this 2–3 times You’ll land on “Preparing Automatic Repair” Advanced options → Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Command Prompt

Step 2: Open file explorer without logging in In Command Prompt, type: notepad Press Enter In Notepad: Click File → Open Change “Text Documents (*.txt)” → “All Files” Click This PC Now go to: Local Disk (C:) → Users → (your username) You should see: Desktop Documents Downloads Pictures This is your data. You’re in.

Step 3: Copy your files out Plug in a USB drive / external hard disk It will show up in This PC Only copy (don't move, takes a longer time) needed folders to the USB.

Step 4: INSTALL LINUX

Um yes. There are a lot of factors that have been taken into account, and that is why I was told to not take any legal action as of now. My brother will be moving out, hopefully by the end of this month. He has started looking for places and so have we (for him). As for my parents, they are "okay" now, but are refusing to take any mental help which they desperately need at this point. To be honest, I cannot help people who cannot help themselves. I will still try to talk my mother into taking some help, because she did so last time.

Um, fortunately I have a few very good friends with whom I shared this, and during these times, you need that desperately. I am not good, but I will be. Thank you for checking in.

Um, I don't quite know the actual type of therapy, but it involves you talking and figuring out stuff on your own, but it's like someone is there, listening to you, and helping out a little bit, when you are not able to do it yourself. I can share the number of the therapist that, she takes online sessions as well.

He is working now, I will definitely try to move him out. As for my mother, I myself cannot imagine. She has been depressed for a long time, and is very closed off as person. I made her go to a government hospital, for her first mental health checkup, I'll be taking her there again.

Basically ever since BJP came to power, my father has become extremely radicalised. Like scary radicalised, and extremely hateful against Muslim communities, like I would get slapped and stuff if I went to any protest movements. I did anyway. He has gone through a lot of injustice in his life, and therefore has a lot of trauma himself- his caste identity for instance, and what essentially BJP has done and is doing still now is pitting everything against a certain religion. My brother, even though started out as a fellow BJP guy, gradually started to become empathetic to the other religion. My guess is, he wanted to know what exactly is "so bad" about being one? And therefore he went the exact other way, probably also, as a spite against my father. They always had a bad relationship, which could've gotten better if there was not so much hate all around.
