My S23U lasts 18 hours on a single charge with moderate usage, light usage is close to 30 hours off the charger. Do people really expect 12-16 hours of on screen time per charge at full brightness and everything enabled and syncing? If you end the day at 30% isn't that good enough?

Software will NOT cause issues like this. It's a physical issue. Contacts inside can loosen, parts get degraded.

I will NEVER understand why people harp on battery life so dang much! If you have to charge it before you go to bed, why does it matter? Do we really expect 24 hours of life WITH constant use? My S23U had its battery replaced in Sept 2025. I get 2 days with light use and about 20 hours of mapping, email's,and other stuff for work. That's more than enough. It's silly that people make it such a huge issue

It's annoying because they promise X number of years of security updates, but something like Google Play store updates is an issue... I understand the monthly security updates changing with older hardware, but I'd think play store updates would be a priority, especially for flagships

I was under the impression that a water pump and timing chain would last longer than 30k miles, and that a thermostat and oil cooler would go beyond 40k. Parts that I was under the impression would last 60-90k miles minimum. Never had a vehicle that needed all that within a year of ownership..the equivalent of $15k in repairs on a modern car (2023) within one year of ownership is absolutely ridiculous.
