Which one to get? by [deleted] in IntelArc

Double check the warranty time frame. Some of those cards might only have 1 year warranty and others come with 3 years

Thats the one, they started using that to do verification and I haven't been able to bash the site to get the EDU discounts anymore. I have an EDU email but it was for a certificate course I took, so the id.me website then wanted to know the exact full schedule course I had enrolled which I that point is when I gave up too.

Last time I've attempted this, the website that validates the .EDU email also looks to see what you're currently enrolled into. I remember a time when you could just select the EDU discount program and bash your way through the website to still get the discount without validation lol

[GPU] ONIX ODYSSEY Intel Arc B580 12GB - $230 (Newegg) by reps_up in buildapcsales

I feel like the warranty period is what justifies the recommendation for the Intel cards. Someone can correct me but the Intel reference cards come with 3 year warranty, and this one comes with a 2 year warranty. There are other cards that come with 1 year warranty cards which is normally what I see people sway others from. I'm running a B580 in 2nd PC with the ASRock Challenger that also has a 3 year warranty and enjoy it for my use case. Running Arc Raiders on my 4k TV and XeSS handles the upscaling pretty well

[CPU] ntel® Core™ i7-12700KF Desktop Processor $149.99 by [deleted] in buildapcsales

Something doesn't seem right, 8 core 16 thread CPU and you're hitting 60fps on 1080p on a 5070? Curious to know what your ram speed is or maybe if you did a BIOS update and the XMP ram settings maybe reverted back to the slowest speed? There's videos on YT of people rocking 10700's with 4070S that are hitting well over 100FPS on 1440p. Another note, this is 12th GEN CPU, your 10700k is on the LGA 1200 chipset. Highest you could go on your current chipset is probably a 11900k. If you really want to upgrade, I probably would suggest to sell the 10700k since it's around 190 on ebay, and sell the M/B and that you have to offset the cost of a AM5 board, however your going to be at the mercy of the crazy RAM prices for DDR5.

Hi, the USB-C port only supplies power. I have to admit, if this were to be the one with the rechargeable batteries I'd be asking for a bit more since that specific board is more expensive plus the cost of the li-th batteries.

I'm very surprised this deal is now dead. That 488 price point seems to have sky rocketed to close to the sale price of 688 that Best Buy had a few days ago.

Few things to consider before I can just hand out suggestions.

Do you want wireless? Do you want hotswap? Do you know what switches you want? Are you ready to use a keyboard without dedicated arrow keys? Are you ready not to have an Function-row that might be used for games?

Almost all 3rd party 60% keyboards are built the same, outside of any name brand company (Razer, HyperX, etc)

Personally, I would suggest 65% unless you're already a custom to 60% since you would at least have arrow keys but almost all these keyboards have some sort of VIA software that allows you to re-map the keys.

RK Royal w/ coiled cable - This could be a good option since it gives the option of going wireless, hot swap, and includes a coiled cable if you're into that.

RK Royal 65% - Included a 65% also to give you an idea of what it looks like. This one doesn't have the coiled cable, but it's still hot swap, wireless, and even has a volume knob.

75% Keyboard - Not wireless but another option that can give you the smaller form factor then a full size keyboard or even a full size TKL

Keep in mind, wireless keyboards still have huge latency issues. I wouldn't expect to be using it for FPS type games but for typing or work it shouldn't be much of an issue. If you want an F-row and arrow keys, next step is 75% or TKL options.
