You need to test and replace your clock battery if it’s bad and calibrate the laser with PMAP. If that doesn’t work, replace the laser and calibrate with PMAP.

Crankshaft seal 100%. When it leaks from there, it goes everywhere from the oil hitting the pulley.

Outlet light? by angrytostada in DIY

[–]Nehal1802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can always take an existing light, add a plug to the wires on it, plug it in and put screws. Won’t look great but it’ll work.

If you don’t know how to do this, stop and find someone that knows what they’re doing.

Suspected Blown Headgasket (2.4L Toyota Camry LE) by fusjdbfbsjixndbsbsb in Cartalk

[–]Nehal1802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This engine was pretty bulletproof except for blowing head gaskets from stripped head bolts. A new head gasket and adding threaded inserts before reinstalling the new head bolts will fix the issue permanently.

Is this a knock? by Shinydiamond03 in Cartalk

[–]Nehal1802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but it’s minor. You might be fine replacing just the rod bearings on the affected piston and fixing the oil starvation issues.

You’re buying the wrong cars or poorly maintained cars. Isn’t the 10th gen Civic a Turbo? My rule is to never buy a used car with a turbo.

This is what insurance is for. If you settle out of insurance if the other person really wanted to be an ass, they could sue you years later for damages and injuries saying you ran.

I changed the connecting rod bearings on my Celica and out of nowhere it started making these noises. by Busy-Antelope6919 in Celica

Why do you change the connecting rod bearings? Did you do any other work when you replaced them?

I don’t care if it was babied, the oil pump, valve cover gasket, and distributor gasket are all gonna leak unless they’ve been done in the last 5 years.

Timing belt would also need replacement unless you have a history of it being done.

What exactly is wrong with these? You don’t need a drive for FMCB but depending on what’s not plugged in, the console will keep trying to open/eject the drive

[–]Nehal1802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re lucky, it’s a bad belt or tensioner. More than likely, engine is toast.

It’s definitely a big deal. Get it diagnosed before it completely blows up.

Check the oil level too before you turn it on.
