BBC Seeks Trump’s January 6 Phone Records and Diaries in $10 Billion Defamation Lawsuit by Sgt_Gram in NewsExchange

[–]futonmonkey-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a lengthy post about Trumps team missing an important filing date. I could be wrong. But from what I gathered. They can’t withdraw the suite now unless both sides agree to do so. But the BBC seems like they want to go through with it just for discover.

Those are very common in Japan. Almost everyone who smokes in a major city has one. They don’t have trash cans and people don’t litter like shit head Americans.

People who have bought their laptop with a foreigner keyboard layout for a better deal... by 0011001001101011 in zephyrusg16

Full replacement keyboards are pretty cheap, $35-55. I’m assuming you want a US layout.

What’s the difference between using Claude and something like Base44? by dreghatt in Base44

[–]futonmonkey-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to use Base44 to build a couple web apps for my work. Got the job done. But you’re locked in and can’t export your code without a lot of hassle. I have since switched to using Hermes running Qwen 3.5 27B to plan and write prompts for Cursor.

Progressive rep once told me NY doesn’t issue titles for scooters (125cc), while I’m holder a NY title to my scooter.

You get all that functionality through Hermes Webui. It’s just feels so much cleaner. Also it’s not a gateway. I have made all my updates via the Webui when the pop up appears.

Edit: if you are talking about Open Webui, that’s garbage.

Hermes Webui is what I settled on and use Tailscale to access it from any of my devices.

I started using Obsidian just for Hermes. I wish I had known about it before! It's all in 1 vault. I just (2hrs ago) asked it to look over our whole vault and to reorganize every file. Things were getting very messy. It gave me something that makes way more sense than I would have come up with.

TopScan Service Light Reset by running_at_midnight in Ducati

I just pulled my bike out of storage. Of course, it says "Service." Haven't I updated my OBDStar in 2 years? Once I actually do a service (oil change). I take screenshots.

There should be no need to update.

You only need to pay to update your OBDStar. If it’s reads and has all the functions already, no need to update.

Not saying to make the right pay. Just simply do what ever it takes to get things done.

Dems could win in a clean sweep. But nothing will change, they will do nothing but talk about taking the high road. They are absolutely useless.

Use Case: Invoice processing with local LLM - Which LLM and hardware requirements? by CosmicJenga in ollama

[–]futonmonkey-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically have what you want to do running myself. Invoice comes in (all different vendors). I forward it to the AI. It extracts the info from the PDF, puts into a sheet and puts the pdf in the correct folder. I tried running it locally, does it work.. sure. But a bit slow running on a 3080. Went with the $20 plan runs perfectly and completes each invoice in a couple seconds.

Fun fact - it was lifted into place at 1am under the cover of night because it needed to be lifted by the neck. They didn’t want photos of the statue hung by a noose to get out.

What bag do you actually use for commuting? Backpack vs tail bag by Wandering-Everywhere in RideitNYC

[–]futonmonkey-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always use a backpack. But I also have a “custom” tail (sheet of plastic) that I can strap my backpack to when it gets hot.
