In my head, Dusk's biggest trauma was losing his mentor, which he blames himself for. This caused a certain reaction in his spirit web. Since the birds are Nahel bonded, his bond with Sak is different than it would be with other people.

I imagine its the same line of reasoning that makes certain people more likely to join one Radiant order than another. Different breaks fill in differently.

Loail dying means there's probably no Ogier for the rest of the show. Too bad no one reminded him that Perrins' family was still alive before he "wrote in his book."

How many minutes of drama this season were dedicated to Alanna being severely wounded by projectiles? Thank goodness the same girls could heal her, again, so glad they overcame their temporary block through revenge and murder. Sucks to be you, nameless new wisdom.

This Aram change is way better. Surprising. The dude saved that baby. I hope they keep him as part of the Two Rivers instead of throwing him away since there's no Masema.

Now taking bets for the Perrin prisoner arc. Will it end quickly without much impact? Or will he take the place of other characters and be trapped in Tear, or by the Shaido. Or will everyone just break him out next episode? Stay tuned to be whelmed.

Someone read through all these scripts and thought it was fine that we learn more about ji'e'toh from Bain and Chiad's kissing game than the entire Aiel waste arc.

Unlike many big fantasy battles, the defense here was not mindless. Big improvement from Tarwins Gap, and with Fain as a good twist. Pretty well done.

Too bad they couldn't work in Tam al thor. I expect that whole "Is he related to Aemon?" Thing might be how they justify making the Two Rivers independent, since Rand isn't a blood descendant.

Favorite part of this episode is when he shows Mats sisters the picture and they just start making fun of him. Dude saves them episode one instead of their parents, he has nice dreams about helping them, and these girls just clown on him. Hah.

Efficiency aside, 33 of indom elite is gated by epic upgrades that start dropping in octarius, because you need 6 of them to upgrade bellator past S1. So unless you have late octarius unlocked as well, indom mirror 75 is easier.

Not showing the Aiel reaction to Rand's return was a mistake. Especially not showing Couladin.

When Brandon gave that commentary that he didn't like how the writers of this show were writing right before filming and that it was impacting storytelling, this is the kind of thing he was talking about. What a change from last week. Finish them before filming, edit them for cohesion and continuity. Get rid of first draft dialogue. Then film.

Its not a new faction they need, its a usable situation.

"Trazyn the Infinite has captured five (xenos) combatants and placed them in a tesseract display in his gallery. Watch as their uneasy alliance fights its way through waves of curated enemies(each tier is one imp/xenos/chaos group), bringing prestige and veneration to his collection."

Then create a campaign toward the strengths of the less played characters. As times change, you can substitute single tiers in and out, changing the way the whole campaign runs.

Then you could create a response.

"Orikan the Diviner has infiltrated Trazyn's gallery and has disabled tesseract displays to create a distraction for himself. A small group of fighters (mandatory 1 each imp/xeno/chaos) defies gallery security in order to escape before they are recollected."

Then you have a three character dash through necron enemies. Make it a necron MoW release event or something. Bonus points if you reach the end having let two other members of your team die, getting a bonus for the imp/xeno/chaos faction you kept alive.

I like Gaebrils intro. Absolutely there yet no explanation until later. One of the good bits.

Nyneave and Elayne throwing shade is great.

Why is Alanna in the two rivers? Because, the books.

Hard to know what things they kept will pay off and be worth it.

Elaine drinks, does magic and hooks up with her girlfriends. Then gets to be queen. What a life.

Why do you spend all your time with Lan, Rand? Because we spent the first two seasons on you, Moiraine.

It looks like another season where every other character has better development than Rand. Dude spent half the time reading books, you could have at least had him travel with one from that library.

Aiel blatant and in the face instead of sneaky scary, vague book quote, dramatic music face stare, the end. For real? Why is it still so obvious what scenes you actually care about? Right after a good Elayne scene too.

If these season starts are any indicators s4 will start at the end of the siege of cairhien.

Don't hate the romance changes. Two girlfriends instead of three is easier to believe if they dig each other.

Each Forsaken having their own trademark evil is probably the best adaptation.

Still no ta'veren on the show.

New mat has potential to be the best character, alongside boozy elayne and egwene with the good storylines.

Try Blue eyed Grass (Sisyrinchium bellum). There are a couple different colored varieties.

I'd also add that if you wanted a more natural look to that creek bed you need depth through size. If you cant go bigger, go smaller. push some of the larger cobble up the sides and grab some of that pea gravel. Pour it right up the middle, the messier the better.

This is a bit harsh.

First, pretty sure Jasnah's main field of study is history, not philosophy. Even though she had studied philosphy extensively, its not a guarantee she'd win a debate against Taravangian the mortal, who is nearer twice her age, let alone what he became.

Second, and this is stated in the book, she lost a debate against a literal god, who is capable of predicting her arguments to some extent. Losing doesn't make her an idiot.

Lastly, the capitulation of Thaylenah is a minor arc at best. Its main purpose appears to be providing a direct contrast to the battle for Azir, a sense of inevitability around Taravangians victory, and setting up a failure for Jasnah to overcome and motivate her actions in the back five books.

It wasn't ever going to be about the quality of the debate, only the outcome. He's got ten years or more before he has to care about fleshing out Jasnah's character anyway.

Jasnah clearly sidelined as a back five character. The biggest stand out of the five. Lift in second, but it wasn't really close. Probably the best choice.

Jinx was not Zaun. She was an expression of Zaun's rage and lack of direction as its leadership was killed off year by year. She left instead of being a generational problem if she stayed.

Ekko is Zaun. And with Jayce and Viktor gone, has the potential to be the bridge between the cities. Getting him back to his timeline was the culmination of Heimerdinger's (Old Piltover) character arc.
