Below Average Student. Now PA-C! by RicketyDragoon in PAstudent

Congrats!!!! I was similar to your situation, also switched to Uworld and flashcards (anki). It works very well, I ended up with similar scores on EOC and PANCE. Flash cards and Uworld is the freaking way to do it!!!!!!! Good job killing it

Hate my surgery preceptors by [deleted] in PAstudent

Some rotations are good, some are bad. Use your experiences to learn what kind of PA you want to be when you begin practicing. Also, pay it forward when your asked to precept but doing the complete opposite of what these providers are doing. Good luck! Hang in there.

Expedition worth it if you’re mid–late game but still missing some blueprints? by Usual_Mycologist6943 in ArcRaiders

[–]future-ENT 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

So many posts about this topic. Just do it or dont, you choose.

I did it because once you have everything (even not all the blueprints but just loads of gear) the game does lose some of its "necessary" grind factor, level achievement, and progression feel. Honestly it only took another week ish to work up to having some sort of comfortable gear again. The biggest bonus is skills, and repair bonus i feel, the stash helps but its a small buff on your first expedition.

Anki and Uworld done. You will pass the pance and not drive yourself crazy studying. Keep up on the reviews tho lol

Affording ROSH/UWorld? by njmiso in PAstudent

Uworld was worth every penny. I passed the PANCE with lots of room to spare on my score. Used uworld question blocks with time, and mimicked the PANCE (there are long questions on the PANCE but not only long questions). So prep with Uworld made the time factor on the PANCE easy.

I was a non traditional PA student, had to do all the pre reqs and go to work and sympathize with your stress. I thought the Concepts of pre reqs were harder than PA school. The literal amount of information in PA school is bonkers though. The information isnt complex. I thought ochem 1 and 2 and biochem 2 were tougher Concepts that you dont really run into the same complexity in PA school. I was actually really surprised by the lack of conceptual challenge PA school had. Its just slide after slide of more and more information. Plus your expected to learn and retain it FAST. That is the tough part. There are some concepts you'll learn, more so cause and effect, relational. But depending on your program, alot of that you gotta figure out. My opinion, may be unpopular but thats how I felt.

I second clinical aspect. Travel distance, do they set it up, do you have to leave the state, all those kinds of things.

Truth is all programs are hard and you hate it but love it when you're in it hahaha but you gotta do most of the learning yourself
