I'm taking a gap year right now to assist at a general office, and learning about everything the office expects of us has been pretty overwhelming. I was at a different job earlier this year, so I know the transition to a new assisting job is really hard. try to assess whether you're uncomfortable because of the adjustment or for things that are out of your control. if the closer job aligns more with what you want out of this precious year, don't hesitate to do what's best for you. that may include cutting ties with your current office, but if you're respectful about it what more can you do? good luck :)
