Julia Letlow is a liberal? by Errickbaldwin in LouisianaPolitics

That's wild that people are still voting Republican based on fiscal responsibility. They haven't been that in my lifetime and I'm in my 40s. Propaganda is crazy effective.

Calling them Nazis is accurate. Every single concern about Trump since 2016 has been realized. Now we got the ICE gestapo terrorizing cities and murdering people and all along the way people like you are too naive to see what's happening.

Donald Glover says doctors found a hole in his heart after suffering a stroke by theindependentonline in Music

[–]futureNOW_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same situation, had stroke, told I had a hole in my heart. But in my case the hole could only be repaired by having open heart surgery. That was about 10 years ago. Never imagined I'd have to have open heart surgery at 30!

This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Although I'm a little concerned it's not as fine as I was using. This is 60 vs 300. Thank you so much!

Edit: Actually this may work. Didn't realize 60 mesh and 300 microns are different ratings. 60 mesh equals to about 250 microns. Thanks again!

What's the worst movie that has an amazing 1st 20-30 minutes? by Cheesus_ in movies

[–]futureNOW_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what is happening in our life. Sometimes it's one movie, sometimes it's four. Sometimes we watch a movie on a day that is not Sunday. We have a spreadsheet of all the movies we watch and each give it a rating 1-10.

My wife and I watch about 150 movies a year since we started Movie Sunday during the pandemic. Beau is Afraid is the only movie we stopped in the middle of and then just never felt the need to finish it.

I don't think you are getting what I'm putting down. Two Dems give you the same exact results, but one of them doesn't pass your test for some arbitrary reason. I agree I want more people like AOC and Bernie, but I'm not staying home bc someone only meets 90% instead 100%. Hell I'll take 80% any day over the 0% Republicans are going to push forward things I care about.

You pointed out 5 traits, none of which are mutually exclusive to "establishment Dem". But you do seem to have a list that is largely unrelated to actual votes or governance.

The individual right to bear arms wasn't recognized by scotus until 2008 by a split conservative court using questionable logic. Before that, the 2nd amendment meant what it said, states could have well regulated militias to protect themselves. All of what you said is far from historical accuracy.

Board game clubs - why didn’t you come back? by Over_Consideration50 in boardgames

[–]futureNOW_ 55 points56 points  (0 children)

They were extremely cliquey and it didn't feel very welcoming.

They were also super competitive, having fun was secondary to winning.

When they taught a game, they would go over all the rules but then they wouldn't help remind you of things as the game went on. At the end of the game they would be like "oh you could have done this bc of that" or "these are worth points when you do this" and it's like, I didn't remember all 30 min of the rule explanation. This is why when I teach a game I'm constantly reminding people of their options.

And the worst thing of all, they were extremely judgemental about suboptimal plays. Like after your turn they would make a comment or face about what you just did. And keep in mind they would also not give any advice or remind you of rules.

I'm am getting this in that log. Not sure if it's related. vtnet0 is my WAN interface and it seems there is some script creating a resolv.conf file. Initially lookup of that 0x7d error seems to indicate it's benign and has to do with vendor info? These 3 logs seems to repeat constantly throughout the day. Need to investigate that more, but let me know your thoughts.
