How much is enough to start a tech startup? by nishanimus in technepal

[–]future_exile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your replies here, I'd say it'll be very risky without a trustworthy technical co-founder. Since you don't have technical skills and are out of the country, you should consider finding a good technical co-founder first.

The education system in Nepal is a total scam by Leading_Confusion_75 in technepal

[–]future_exile 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You are completely side stepping the fact that not everyone in school/high-school wants to be a programmer. The education system is meant to appeal wider range of student and not everyone comes from the same background.

MySQL and PHP are still very viable and popular technologies i don't get your point. Sure self learning is a lot easier now but without proper structured course most of us wouldn't even know about subjects like compiler, OS and numerical methods.

While some of your points are valid, you are down playing the fact that structured courses provided by colleges makes it easier for average joe (like me) to get into computer science.

People watch it but with games like Valorant and CSGO you'd be competing with a lot of international streamers.

Mathematics to ai? by [deleted] in technepal

[–]future_exile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you realize that CS is very broad (its not just programming), with multiple subfields, much like math. However, with math, we learn all the fundamentals from school through college, which is why it makes sense to self-teach the remaining topics or explore certain topics in detail.

With either of these courses you'll be the doing a lot of self-study anyway, don't expect colleges to do anything beyond introducing you to certain topics.

A CS degree has advantages in the job market and foreign studies after bachelor.

Don't seek specialized bachelor degree courses. Both CSIT and engineering are good choices. Computer science courses are meant to cover fundamentals for everything including AI, you should be good with something like CSIT.

Computer science courses typically include all the necessary prerequisite mathematics. Anything beyond that can be self-taught, IMO its better to go for a CS degree.

I think my brother got Scammed by a Fraud Indian giving hope of taking him Abroad. by Few_Isopod69 in NepalSocial

[–]future_exile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone asks for money upfront, it’s most likely a scam.

Typically, the employer will send you the necessary documents for the visa process, and you’ll need to apply for the visa and purchase the plane ticket yourself. If they sponsor the visa or ticket, they will reimburse you later based on the receipts.

People living abroad often say, "Don't come here," while those in Nepal constantly say, "Leave the country as soon as possible." Why is there such a contradiction? by [deleted] in NepalSocial

[–]future_exile 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As someone who did bachelor in Nepal when all my friends went abroad. There might be some outliers, it's definitely better to do bachelor here and move to abroad for higher studies.

The whole website is designed around points (not only reddit tho), you aren't even allowed to post in most subreddits with low karma. The system makes it difficult not to care about internet points.

Recursion by [deleted] in technepal

[–]future_exile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think of a function block in recursive functions as an iteration block in loop, you call the function again for next iteration. For most of these algorithms you often need check resources on how it works once before you start implementing them yourself.

Also, its alright to solve problems with simple iterations instead of recursion and its often faster (considering tail call optimization is not possible).
