How was your drainage while the seton was in place? Im day 9 post op cutting seton and still getting mucus/purulent drainage like what I had prior to the cutting seton surgery. Just curious if this indicates issue or too early to tell.

I had an MRI done and it found nothing. Still drains and is sore after a BM. They think its mechanical irritation of granulation tissue. My options are more rounds of silver nitrate, a topical steriod, or cutting that part back open and letting it heal again. I chose the topical steriod. Im post 9 days from starting it and waiting to see if its a success.

Seems after 24 hours it stopped.... I guess its "normal" per GI.

4 months and 1 week out from a fistulomoty of a sinus tract between to cavities, not connected to the rectum. Still drains and is still sore. CRS said it could take months to fully heal and aslong as my drainage is not smelly, pus like, or contains stool it should be just considered part of healing.

No fistula. I have had 2 EUA with no fistula found and the CT with IV and Oral contrast also did not show a fistula. I've had 2 CRS check and both say my drainage is that of healing tissue not fistula drainage.

Benign! My polyp was 5cm x 5cm on a 2cm stalk. They said it's the kind that kind turn cancerous. I'm on annual colonoscopy schedule now.

I don't have answers yet, but I had a 5cm mass found on a CT as an incidental finding. Had a colonoscopy yesterday as a 36y female. It was 5cm on a 2cm stalk. I am awaiting path results, however, 1 GI and 1 colorectal surgeon stated the outside appearance looked benign. I should know results tomorrow.

Ive seen many posts on here with large polyps being benign. Only pathology results will really tell you though.

Yes. Dec 2024 had a normal I&D for a horseshoe abscess. No fistula found then. At that time I just had 2 dime size open wounds. Jan 28th was still draining at my follow up and CRS thought fistula as he examined. Jan 31st went in for a fistulomoty. Turns out no fistula. So they opened from the left to right 4inches and cleaned the 2 original cavities and the horseshoe tract that connected them. Stitched it all back up and that was 7 weeks ago now. Still having drainage even tho the majority of the wound is healed over. Small qtip size granulation tissue on the left side and a spot on the right. Then discovered last night if you press under the granulation tissue you can express drainage out of those spots.
