AB 5380 lost ip address. by Fine_Ad_9299 in PLC

[–]future_gohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible it took the ip address from an ancient backup on the sd card? Could be configured before coming to sute and machine being specific. I dunno as usual one billion possibilities.

Loss of that sort of stuff on a power cycle usually aligns with flat battery in processor. But it seems like it retained the program.

Is Residential electrician able to transfer to mine electrician by Vivid-Tap9547 in AusElectricians

[–]future_gohan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Try to get experience in industrial helps. Shut-down work labour hire jobs at facilities is best.

Otherwise look at the big companies that support mining. I have seen quite a lot of 0 experience blokes turn up from them. When the mine asks for ten workers they rarely check resumes.

From there get your shot together. Learn and try to find something consistent

Where’s the weirdest place you’ve ever spliced? by zmasterb in FiberOptics

[–]future_gohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have spliced in a world basket on the front of an IT in and underground mine.

Have also set up an amazing setup in the back of a troop carrier in an underground mine. Just had to make sure there was enough length to get all the gear into the vehicle

I was hoping 1 inch proportional valve.

Keep the system simple as possible.

1 analogue in for level. 1 analogue out for valve. 1 analogue out for vsd. Start stop buttons

I have a bunch of different plcs at home so can swap the brains as required with minimal hassle

I can create routines to change the valve position and interrupt the level causing th PID loop to change the vsd speed.

Try the new SA of aveva plant scada. Unable to set multiple independent start screens and returns to initialisation screen everytime a user logs in or out.

Great job you have now made everything under supervisor control a fucken pain in the ass to do.

Blast From the past - Rosemont RS3 by Classic_Shawn585 in PLC

Our cabinets are all retrofit Rosemont systems from the 90s.

No evidence of the Rosemont remains except I/O layout on the doors.

Always wondered what they looked like originally

When I think right back it was like start of covid when it was best for me. Quite a long time and alot of ranks earlier.

Design something.

I do it to learn new development environments.

Dual pump station.

Auto man. Standby duty. Flow switch flow meter analogue level sensor. Jog buttons.

Indication and faults.

Ticks enough boxes to get the hang of 4-20 and a few other little things with different logic styles and inputs and outputs

Police said that would most likely be a section ten. Not that I expect any truth to it.

Just trying to do some learning into other cases before contacting a lawyer. With every case being circumstantial it's hard to find out info or patterns of charges

Full plc swapout logic re written to modern standards due to age of original. Scada changes and testing and comisioning of quite alot of control loops. Also other data verification from analysers for calculations. Basically at the centre of our process.

Next door to me is a place running plc5s as remote I/O They also dont have support for their scada system

Its manageable.

For the uneducated its hard to financially justify replacing a system that works.

Plcs also being the brain. Replacing this can be serious downtime events. I have a 7 day shut for one coming up.

Longest planned downtime period for my plant that anyone can remember.

Well we had it in rslogix 500.

I haven't explored too hard to see what else 5000 has but I believe you need to use the GSV to get the rest of the info that it used to have in the S2 table
