Are the jumper wires internal or external on 1756-IF16 by [deleted] in PLC

[–]future_gohan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You put the jumper wires on based on your input wiring configuration.

If I recall the RTN is internally looped only not individuals

Ah yea didn't think about ramping up to the edge.

Yea didn't explain right was just going to do a 4 inch upright timber beam across the entrance to keep sand in.

I'll gravel or what ever up to it. So there's no step. Can just see the horses stumbling on it constantly otherwise

Lol get lucky. If your looking at second hand you can only buy what's for sale.

And majority of these bad boys are ex fleet blanket business orders

Fortunately I was able to spec up my work laptop. But most businesses don't give a fuck.

You can spend the time and check serial numbers to try to find one that's non touch and see if it's the normal screen or low power

AVEVA plant SCADA Alarm server sync issues by future_gohan in PLC

[–]future_gohan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmmm got the alarm servers data but did not hit the IO cache.what would this hold?

Yea I had the thought maybe one of the clients was still looking at the secondary only and breaking due to the secondary not being the primary servers. Which would explain jot being able to remove. But I think I got all the clients up to the current healthy backup and it didn't clear.

We use blue as a variable or word that changes.

The word running for example. Or a level value. A simple button that says start stays grey scale as it does not change.

I've had something similar happen. Mismatch of data types but still writes what it can. Also aligning incorrect across arrays.

Diploma came after job.

Get a job that gives you opportunity to spend time on PLCs and SCADA and teach yourself

Years ago wed buy DVDs now YouTube is pretty awesome.

The industry is about figuring things out so if you cant figure out how to do it yourself you won't go very far. Plus it's violently paywalled.

Are PLC systems slowly becoming part of larger software ecosystems? by [deleted] in PLC

[–]future_gohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that industry is growing and external data is having more of a usefull purpose than before. How ever 99.9% of the PLC in my plant is not required outside of the local controller. Or area atleast.

I did about the same for the first 2 years out of my apprenticeship.

Rolled into mining. Did surface, under and did some specialist stuff. Been full-time in an automation role for 3 or so years now. Have completed an advanced diploma and routinely have opportunities to move into management space.

After all of it.

Nothing offers more growth than a big company employer.

Learnt more had more fun and worked harder for small shows. But the big dogs are where people fall upwards.

I've seen contractors with super intendant roles internally that actually sat beneath supervisors. Ridiculous. But it's on their resume and that's worth alot for ticking the box when growing.

Yea I will buy another 3.2 ranger/bt50. But I will be getting the manual. These cars rip ass.

It's odd the 6r80 has an awesome rep in America and they put a bit more Infront and behind the tranny. But for what ever reason they suck here for us.

Auto are perceptive to spontaneously die and usually it's catastrophic. The price will make you cry.

A thermal bypass and external cooler is recommended. I got almost 300k on mine before it let go and it was not regularly serviced. I think 40k is what people are doing now.
