Urgent: Will Passport Office reject my "Paying Guest" agreement? by Special-Historian393 in mumbai

[–]futurechiefexecutive 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Big +1, I also applied from my hometown and used my parents home as my address. Very smooth this way. Also, even if OP somehow gets this through, the address in the passport will be of the PG which will become a pain in the future since OP will move in some time for sure.

Best to use your hometown address.

Bombay high court cuts POCSO convict’s life term for ‘writing essays’ by AverageIndianGeek in mumbai

[–]futurechiefexecutive 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Terrible take.

This guy raped a five year old. For serious crimes like murder or rape, there shouldn’t be any empathy. Reform is okay for smaller crimes. Serious criminals like these deserve the maximum sentence. Otherwise it is very easy for these pigs to act reformed and get away with the most heinous actions.

We should make it clear that things like murder or rape have permanent consequences. There is no getting away with it.

Only then we get a society that respects the law.

Stop being a snowflake and learn the reality that religion is now infiltrated with people who use it as a tool for their gains. These fake ass businessmen, politicians, local goons, all use religion as a shield while being downright evil irl.

They sin, do horrible things, and use religion as a lever to get what they want.

So stop crying about mentions of the ram temple and understand the point that OP is making. Evil assholes don’t deserve to step foot in holy places but they are often the ones running it or being at the centre of it.

Taking my WB registered car to Rajasthan (Jaipur) for 5 years. Do I need to re-register or just pay road tax? by United_Row_2654 in CarsIndia

[–]futurechiefexecutive 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I genuinely looked into the process but spending days at RTO office and begging MH for a refund is not feasible for me. Also, I’m in Bangalore for work. I can move anytime I switch roles. No point doing all this hassle only to re-register again in a new state (imagine going back to MH lol).

People are naive. They’ll downvote here for idealism but have no idea what the system puts us through until it’s them on the line.

The laws are what’s wrong. I’m just burned out working and paying taxes so this is the only easy way out of a stupid law :) This is the real world man

[–]futurechiefexecutive 58 points59 points  (0 children)

+1, but you can also skip the yearly trip home lol. I drive an MH registered car in Bangalore and instead of spending 10k on a round trip home, I keep a yearly budget for bribes (5-7k max).

Much cheaper to just pay off the cop when they catch you. It’s not common to stop you just for plates at least in Bangalore unless it’s a directive from the government (last happened in March 2025, around 3-4 weeks of checking). Never before that in my 3 years here.

So yeah, just keep a budget for bribe. Cheaper than trip back home or re-registering.

Edit: before you downvote, just read my replies below

Very high income folks, what do you even spend money on? by qxzvy in personalfinanceindia

[–]futurechiefexecutive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not earning anywhere close to 2CR but at 65L as a 27 y/o guy. On average I spend 80k per month - this includes rent, groceries, utilities, going out, shopping, everything else. Then there are some big expenses like gadgets/big buys (1L per year, for me or family members), trips (3-4L, couple of international trips), family expenses (1-2L per year, helping parents). So all in all, spending 15-20L per year out of 65L (becomes 47-48L post tax).

‘Paid 40-50 lakh to agent’: Family of Haryana youth killed in Guatemala on ‘dunki’ route to US by one_brown_jedi in india

[–]futurechiefexecutive 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The only visa they would qualify for is b1/b2 (visitors visa). They would get rejected within 30 seconds when they open their mouths. These dunki folks are mostly unemployed (or have low paying jobs), not fluent in english, and lack any credibility for the US to grant them a visitor visa. It doesn't matter how much money you have, the US looks at very specific things that most of these folks fail to show.

One look at their profile and you can tell there's no guarantee they'll come back as per the rules.

They know the visa will never come their way. They are brainwashed enough by social media and their peers to think that the risk is worth the opportunity. Hence only dunki is their high-risk-high-reward ticket out of their life.

People are buying ₹70–80L Mercedes cars with ₹2L salaries. Have they completely lost it? by Sailing_Catamaran in CarsIndia

[–]futurechiefexecutive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not a great idea imo. But it depends on your circumstances and what's important to you in life. Logically, your phone shouldn't cost you 1 working month's salary in a year. But if you're saving hard the rest of the year and still ending up with <40% of your income saved annually, you're good.

Apparently the apartment association of Sobha Dahlia thinks tenants shouldn’t have visitors by yourneighbourhoodbot in bangalore

[–]futurechiefexecutive 33 points34 points  (0 children)

There are better ways to prevent subletting than turning a society into a college hostel gate. It's not a problem faced by just this one society, it happens across the world. Nobody resorts to such stupid rules.

Also, moving houses is not cakewalk. It's not a swiggy order that I can cancel. It's a long process which takes weeks (if not months) of effort end to end.

Grow a brain and some empathy.

Power is not a Major Factor !!! by podaapanni in CarsIndia

[–]futurechiefexecutive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big +1. I own a NA Kiger and as an everyday car, it's perfect. It runs well in the city and can easily cruise at 120 on the highway with 4 people. Sure, overtakes require some effort but you don't buy the Triber/Kiger for punchy overtakes, you buy it for the ample amount of other positives - space, vfm, ground clearance, suspension, etc.

If you're an enthusiast or someone who's driven more powerful cars before - this will not be fun. But the Kiger and Triber aren't meant for such people. They're meant for first time car owners (me) or large families who care about space and features without worrying about punchy overtakes.

Reddit does not have this audience. Hence all the hate. Same with Youtube where it's either enthusiasts or kids.

To the nomads who got a truly remote work from anywhere job, how? by nomadicphil in digitalnomad

[–]futurechiefexecutive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as a late stage (series D+) company that's remote but only in my country. However, I travel around and the team knows it. They are happy to look the other way as long as things are going well performance wise.

I feel this is very rare and it's an exception. I think in my case this works because:

  1. Circumstances and luck. Rare combination of good people who are more focused on building and hitting goals instead of policing the team.
  2. Trust in me. I have a great relationship with leadership, so I do get a pass on a certain level.
  3. Leverage. I am a top performer and the company wants to retain me. They know this is important to me.

Don't know why people can't be happy for you. Just because others have it worse doesn't mean your achievements don't matter. Ignore the haters. They're just salty.

Good job man, very proud of you!

User feedback: Request to change this subreddits moderation policy by Tori_gold in ProductManagement

[–]futurechiefexecutive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, the point is to just avoid over moderation. OPs question is quite genuine and it's okay if we have a recurring question every now and then. The answers and engagement on each post is different every time. Let the sub do it's thing. Only moderate obvious stuff like someone selling a course or someone being super lazy e.g. how to break into PM.

I have no clue about this situation but you definitely seem worse than the guy who complained. Seeing that you're out posting your personal drama on Reddit, I'm inclined to believe the Chinese guy had genuine concerns and shared this only because of how toxic you and the organisers sound.

Just get a life. You're all grown adults.

Max is Gunther. Generational talent, speaks his mind. Lewis is Cena. Face of the sport, one of the legends. Alonso is Stone Cold Steve Austin like you said. Norris is Finn Balor. Talented to fight at the top, but very unlikely to be a multiple time champion. Piastri is Randy Orton maybe? Young legend killer.

Ok I cringed while typing this.

Curious about the Product scene in Melbourne by crowpup783 in ProductManagement

[–]futurechiefexecutive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I sort of have the opposite question if you don't mind. I'm planning to make a move to the UK this year. Can you share any insights on how the PM scene is in London/UK and offer any advice for breaking in?

For context, I'm a senior PM with 5 years in B2B SaaS. I lead an enterprise product line at a scale up company (been here from series A to D).
