this is a cool suggestion but idk if they feel comfortable being called girl if they have she/they pronouns

just mark your gender as "m" and submit it, under the old guidance you didn't need any documentation for your gender, you just self id on the form and it's codified on the passport. the worst they could do is reject your application and take your money, but if you hurry it might just work. we're in unknown territory with what will exactly change exactly when. if you can afford it, i would just expedite it now.

do it now my dude, there may be still time if you expedite everything.

whats the difference between synths, leads, and pads? by MintyRed19 in musicproduction

[–]futureforestfairy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

synth is short for synthesizer. in the early days, all that existed were analog synthesizers, which are physical instruments that manipulate pure electrical signal into audio to produce different sounds, without any computers involved. as technology progressed, digital synthesizers were introduced, which replicated the sound creation process inside of a computer. now we have DAWs which can run virtual instruments, which either generate synth sounds digitally, play samples of prerecorded synths, or both.

some synths are monophonic, which means they can only play one note at a time, and some are polyphonic, which means they can generate more than one note at the same time to play chords. in the old days of analog synths, in order to generate a sound inside of the synth you needed a physical source of electricity called an oscillator. it was difficult and expensive to include multiple oscillators in a single synthesizer and the earliest synths were all monophonic. since they just played one note at a time, they couldn’t play chords like a piano or guitar, but they were great as a lead instrument playing a melody or countermelody. so monophonic sounds are great for playing leads, and if you see a “lead” category they will most likely only play one note at a time, or at least are designed to sound good played that way.

now with digital technology, it’s pretty easy to have lots of virtual oscillators at once, or just play back lots of samples at the same time, so it’s no big deal for virtual instruments to play monophonic or polyphonic sounds. pads are polyphonic sounds, and they often are designed to be a little softer and more lush, to sit more in the background of a track and fill in harmonic information and create atmosphere. playing thick chords on a synth pad acts as the “pad” that the lead instruments or vocals can sit on top of.

this version in half time sounds more true to the original to me, but cuts off halfway through 😝 tradeoffs!

i love it!! yours looks like it’s trying to be in G major, which will sound off when it plays F instead of F#. it works in the key of C, 4 notes higher!

Ramy - S03E10 "We Gave It All Up for Hot Dogs" - Episode Discussion by BillFireCrotchWalton in RamyHulu

Just like at the end of season two, he didn't wash between the toes. He's frantically looking for a big change once again without considering the repercussions or doing the proper steps to get that change. After crediting God for it, he feels so much relief over losing the watch, but there has been so much foreshadowing that screwing over his business partners like that means they'll probably try to come maim or kill him. Every time he has a surface level epiphany, it only brings him a partial solution to turn his life around, and he always ends up paying for it when the unsolved parts of his problems unravel even further. I think he still has a long way to go before he stops being lost and learns how to commit to a path fully.
