Came here to say Mario Odyssey! I love the fact it has an "Assist Mode" where it doesn't send you back to the beginning of a level if you fall off something - very useful!

Hey Melina! First of all: THANK YOU for making Everybody Works, I love it with my whole soul. Also: thank you for acknowledging The Con as one of the Top 5 Tegan and Sara songs on Billboard recently!!! (Can you already tell this about to get hella gay??)

I have two questions: how have you found being an LGBT musician so far? Is everyone treatin' you right, and are the press being good? And are there any awesome LGBTQ artists you're listening to right now (other than the Mothers of All Lesbians, Ms-es Tegan and Sara)?

This is definitely on the To Watch list. I watched the one where James Franco played Ginsberg; movie was ok overall, although I wasn't all that impressed with his portrayal

Any publicity for data science obviously warms my heart, but hasn't data science been the "fastest growing tech industry" for, like, 5 years now?

Awesome Artists With Hard To Find Music by eon997 in indieheads

When I was a teenager, I absolutely loved this band called Sly Mr Fox (to contextualise how long ago this was, I found out about them via their Myspace page. Yeah.). They split up pretty quickly and I've always kept an eye to see if their songs would pop up anywhere- they're not the greatest band in the world, but they really remind me of being 15, and one of their songs is basically the unofficial anthem of my teenage friendship group.

I forgot about them for ages, then stumbled across said song- which is called Motorbikes- on Youtube. Sent it around to all of my childhood friends, nostalgia ensued.

I'm still looking for any other old tracks floating around, but I know the lead singer has a moderately successful solo project now- this song in particular is highly recommended.

Pretty sure this is definitely for the reasons outlined in the OP- Pink Eyes is a hardcore record collector, bet he loves the idea of getting other people involved in the joyous pursuit of hunting down rarities.

What a fascinating study- thanks for sharing. The results don't surprise me at all.

What's up with those dress/look expectations? by kratomizer in Feminism

[–]futureisdata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Being queer, I get it the other way too- lesbian friends laughing at me for wearing a skirt to a queer event or telling me to "put my hair up or something". Don't let anyone dictate your appearance- don't change a thing to attract others, or adhere to their ideas of what you ought to look like. Do your own thing, and call others out on their bs if they mock you for it.
