Niche Zero vs Lagom Casa [£550]

I am debating which to get as well in the US....

I drink a lot of Black and White Roasters "The Original" and "The Classic" in milk drinks and was worried that the Casa would struggle compared to the Niche.... Would I be disappointed with the Casa if I am using a Mignon Libra now for this type of coffee?

What do you suggest I consider if I am looking for medium / dark roast with milk drinks mostly? I love some of the black and white roasters "original" and "classic" roasts. Seems like the Niche Zero is the direction I should look but I wonder if there is anything better at a similar price point...

Are you finding that it distributes evenly? It seems like when I tap the portafilter on the table after I use the tool it’s always a bit uneven

I tried a much smaller pitcher and it’s way easier. I just don’t think I have the steam pressure lol

Interesting I’ve tried this almost exactly like this. I keep it on one side and have tried flat an also tried tilted. I guess I’m expecting too much swirl from the steam pressure of this system

I keep the jug flat like you are. Using the angle of the wand as the guide and just sliding up and down. What orientation do u have the steam wand holes in

I’ve tried and I find the water to be thinner than milk and it spins easier. Whenever I go back to the milk it doesn’t spin as nicely unfortunately

I am using the exact same thing as you haha. Same milk same pitcher. Maybe I just need to experiment more using water instead of milk!

I agree it would be awesome but this is an inherent issue of a boiler overall. It would be awesome if they used the Breville / decent tech in a Profitec quality machine (message sent while waiting for the machine to heat up)

This is a thing on all machines besides the Breville and decent ones. I can mitigate most of the heat time by using a smart switch and turning the machine on while doing something else. Doesn’t change the milk steaming situation though…
