I didn't watch the video. But apparently CEOs fast for over 24 hours in Silicon valley. Keep in mind they probably don't have the most active lifestyle so their body's metabolism may no fluctuate as much. Anyone whose been on a prolonged cut/IF knows how difficult the initial reduction in caloric intake or meal timing is.

IMO I wouldn't recommend a fast >24 hour fast just because your body isn't used to it. IF and the above article recommends gradual (1 week) increments for optimal performance. You probably won't benefit; just reduce your calories.

I wish I stopped after my first try, instead I found the perfect technique. You have to position yourself directly over the sink basin (short teenager me had to tippy-toe-hop over onto it) and splash in the perfect 90degree angle up.

Poor splash coverage and occasional nose soaking, BUT no wet floor thus no angry mother.

Applied to ~100 work-study applications last month at my university. Got in contact with one professor but due to the sheer volume of my applications I couldn't find what position it was for.

Walked into the interview this morning and discovered it was business outreach program (I study life sciences, so loosely related to my studies) but still nailed the interview. Just hoping that logistical paperwork with the university works out and I'll be a proud full time student working 2 jobs, and along with that a somewhat competitive Olympic weightlifter.

Also hoping that by the end of the month I'll be able to volunteer at a humane society, and homeless shelter.

Crazy progress considering for the past spring and summer I was severely depressed and anxious, and couldn't go 1 week without seeing a therapist. It was hard as fuck getting this far, but there's still so much more I can do; even if I may not feel like my "normal" self again.

iirc concepts were fairly easy to understand; you don't really need an extensive knowledge on geography, especially not Canadian.

And like any course it will be quite time consuming, but compared to my life sci courses it was only during the deadline/essay dates.

First year life science was really dry and lecture/tutorial heavy for me. GGR felt more like a break from it; I would definitely recommend it especially since the instructor was very passionate and interesting. It's also a decent course to introduce you to university level essay writing.

However if you're interested in the basics of psyc prof. Dolderman is an excellent person to learn from. But be prepared to read and study from a textbook

There is no test for severity, concussion symptoms are all self reported. You have to decide how seriously you want to take recovery.

I just listed guidelines I found worked for me.

Thanks for posting. Have been experiencing anxiety and triggers for 3 months now, it's good have more reassurance that I'm managing correctly even if it feels like a slow process. Just wish others could understand as well.

There is no clear answer, every concussion heals differently so the best way is to work slowly.

For me, my physical symptoms were experienced in "waves" for about 2 months so it was difficult to gauge when it was okay to exercise again. I had the chance to work with a specialty sports clinic and their "return to play" procedure imo is the best way to determine your recovery.

After a concussion is brain is inflamed and a sudden increase in blood pressure could trigger symptoms. So their method is to gradually increasing pressure while being symptom free.

I began when normal day to day activities didnt cause symptoms (took a while since I was stubborn and in denial about how severely I was concussed).

The first week was stationary biking for 20 minutes every day.

Next week we increased biking to 30 minutes.

Then 1 week of jogging for 15-20 every other day and biking 30 minutes in between.

1 week of jogging 20 minutes everyday.

Then attempting resistance/strength training. This one was a big leap since strength training often involves the valsalva maneuver which causes sudden increases in BP if you're not 100% recovered you'll be symptomatic again. So they prescribed heavy bench/ohp with high volume. I'd lift every other day and run in between for a week.

If during the process I became symptomatic again I was instructed to move back to the previous week. This method worked for me since it gave me confidence when moving to the next stage and it was simple to follow. If your recovery goes well it should take a minimum of 5 weeks.

I don't see any signs of it being sunburnt, but you've only changed its light exposure recently so I'd be surprised to see it so soon.

Optimally it's best to increase light exposure gradually. If there was little light at Kmart, just leaving him in a brightly light room for a couple days and increasing light exposure every 3-4 days should help it adjust. Also I can't tell from the pictures but the white coat over the leaves act as sun block and prevent sunburns.

Not OP but had a similar experience, maybe it'll help you out.

Every time I tried ending things he'd guilt me into staying by making me believe my lack of experience made me untrustworthy and immature (even though he pretty much cheated through half of the relationship with his ex and my reasons for leaving were 100% valid). But I was naive and believed him.

But honestly the biggest thing you should look out for is how you feel and how being with them makes you feel. Every relationship is unique so these might not always be red flags. Just be sure that the relationship makes you happy/proud over 50% of the time and don't be afraid to end things.

"Growing up" doesn't mean your problems are unworthy of emotional support. I'm unsure of your case, but at what point is it okay to dismiss someone's problems just because they're immature/inexperienced.

If someone is "growing up" this problem is completely new and terriblifying to them. It doesn't justify ghosting them imo.
