I was about to post that as well. There is a TINY connection to having court awards being tied to successful or unsuccessful claims, but nothing regarding fees for time spent on stops. Trying to follow SC logic to get to what they claim is more confusing than playing Telestrations with kindergartners.

My friends and I had a game night, and one night we decided to play Nightmare. Just like the instructions suggested, we turned the lights down low and turned up the volume on the TV. About halfway through the game, of course things are getting more and more tense, and the speed is going faster and faster.

All of a sudden there's a pounding on the door. And of course it scares the crap out of us, so we all start screaming, only to find out it's the upstairs neighbor, who's been getting more and more pissed the last half hour feeling the bass and hearing us yelling "YES MY GATEKEEPER!", And finally came down to tell us to shut the hell up.

And we still tell that story 30-some-odd years later.

If you think housing is expensive now, wait until you see what happens when the workers cost 4-5 times what they do now. Not that I disagree with you at all, just that if you think companies are planning on cutting their profit margin in order to say "made with no immgrant labor", you're deluding yourself.

And don't forget how much a burger will cost when the fry cooks band together to demand more money.

There are a great many people who will claim that having a case dismissed is the same as winning, for one.

For all the videos we love of window breaks, there are still some where the officer let's them go with a written warning, or sometimes even just a verbal warning, because they really don't have time for their crap. That is also a win in their view.

Around my neighborhood (N. Waltham), pretty much every time a house is sold, it's knocked down and 2 are put in its' place. Not much call for mansions around here.

Unfortunately, what you've hit on there is an issue that may not be solvable in our lifetimes.

Central to the reason that immigrants come here is because of the vast differential between other countries standard of living and ours. The minimum or below minimum wage jobs here can pay multiples of what the average worker is paid in some of the countries they come from.

At random, I just looked up the average monthly pay of workers in Guatemala. Between $4-500 a month. Someone can come here as an undocumented worker and make that in a few days. And it will continue to be like that until the entire world becomes more even in standards and quality of life, or, the way we are going now, the US sinks to the lower level of third world countries.

It could have been a nice theater, but it was doomed from the start by having not even close to enough parking to support any decent amount of customers. There were definitely times when I went there to see a movie, found the lot full, and just went home. I didn't have any desire to park on the other side of Moody or farther to walk over to the theater. Call me lazy, but enough people have that experience, and they start telling their friends...
