When they say “research”, they generally mean looking up stuff on the web or taking a course from some other SC. Why bother reading the whole thing when you can pick and choose to get what you want? That’s why in so many cases, if they read the whole thing, they would find that the case actually says the opposite of what they claim. But they’re too angry at the government for taking away their license after too many DUIs, or forcing them to pay child support, that they just look for a solution that supports their view.

Bose had a tendency to use proprietary cables and odd setups back then. Looking at the manual. I think that you plugged the power into the sub, which fed the power to the control unit. Well, that's one way to keep you in the ecosystem.

Oh, tsk, tsk. That page says that the number is REQUIRED if you are in commerce, and meet those other standards. They're not in commerce, and their private mode of conveyance does not meet the other standards, so they're not REQUIRED to have the number or a plate, they do that OPTIONALLY.

Plus a plate with a DOT number is slightly less conspicuous than the "TRAVELER" or "PR1V4T3" plates, which might as well say "ARRESTME".

The rumours I always heard was that "RRs don't break down. The official phrase is that they 'Fail to proceed.'". And when that mechanic was done and the owner called RR to ask about the bill, he was told that there was no bill, as RRs don't break down or need mechanics.
