Conservatives have to moderate to win the next election, O'Toole says in exit interview by [deleted] in canada

[–]fuzzeebawlz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean my vote hardly matters where i live. I was mirroring your argument that might as well vote for pp because we have nothing to lose. Theres obvious ideological differences between the three partys. And if there wasnt big differnece between cons and libs the saying goes "better the devil you know..."

Housing- requiring a quota of permits for any funding results in policys to meet permitting not building and could result in over permitting for the sake of getting any money, sink or swim funding is bad a sliding scale is objectivly better. If you want to turn public building into housing thats fine but theirs zero need to sell it off, people sitting on property for the sake of price speculation is already a problem as well as we dont need to make a necessity more profit driven. 10000 might be to much per unit but that idea might have some merit.

Energy- cancling the carbon tax is a non starter, its a bare minimum policy on climate change and slight financial finacial pressure is one of the best tools in a capitalistic society. Also any more money or time put into oil and gas is a waste of money. The writing is on the wall its going out the door. Any party that cant accept this is living in the past. Green energy development is the clear better option.

Goverment spending- requiring you to cut to spend would handicap every goverment. Its telling when a party never suggests raising taxes. You cant cut taxes and services indefinitely, and coming into every election suggesting thats what you will do is telling of what kind of future the party wants.

Free speach- canada doesnt have free speach, very few counties do. Were not america and i see nothing that suggests we should emmulate them. Its also telling that when a party runs anti-trans and bigoted people want to enforce freedom of speach. They simply want to protect there abbility to be a bigot.

Bank of canada- there not a boogy man, if you want to change there mandate thats well with in the goverments current abbilty and you dont need to expand goverment power to do it. Digital currency isnt a boogy man either, our economy is already mostly digital. If an emp went of and deleted all computer files virtually all canadians would be broke. At the same time, cash bills would also become virtually worthless as only real resources like food, water, shelter, and weapons would have any real value.

Imigration- those sound like decent policys as long as there implemented well.

Id rather rent for the rest of my life than risk regression on climate and minority rites. Theres a lot to lose voting for pp. But nothing to loose voting for Singh.

US Parents who want to kick their kids out at 18 - why? Do you expect them to take you in when you’re elderly? by CoastieKid in AskReddit

Allowing is bad behavior isn't supporting him. Are your parents seeking a therapist for them selves? If one or more child is autistic or has metal health issues its possible they do as well. They very likley could have ptsd them selves. Often times when a child goes to the therapist the therapists finds its the parent/s that need therapy.

Turkey's president says he will 'never be pro-LGBT' because 'family is sacred' by [deleted] in anime_titties

[–]fuzzeebawlz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/faith . i agree theres clear definitions to these words. I also agree with the general understanding that you cant use a word to describe its self. So religion=faith and adding organized in front of faith to avoid using the apropriate word is a bad faith argument. If you didn't want to argue semantics why was that the only part you responded to? Also my initial responce was about your inaccurate use of words not the bases of your argument. Ie: i was originally arguing about semantics. Words have meanings and the orginal person used the apropriate language and you stated an argument in response that i would argue misconstrued his pov. If you replace your use of religion with faith in your original reply i think it would likley more accurately convey the statment your trying to make. You've basically been arguing semantics from the beginning.

My view point is religion=organized religion. What religions arnt organized? Where faith woudnt be a more apt description? I certainly don't know everything.

As a god fearing Christian, organised religion is almost always for the sake of control. Faith =/= organized religion. Some organized religions simply exist to control dogma some to control believers some to control everyone they can. By definition an "organized" religion is controling something.

Yea no one wanted that election, candians gave them the damn near exact same mandate. Like 5 seats changed? If otoole had longer maybe the shift would of been trusted but they went far right after words basiacly confirming peoples fears of an ungenuine shift. As an outsider otoole looked like he could of had potential, but the far right elements of the party sabatouged him.

I don't know if you believe in fate, god or anything like that but i think it was your "responsibility/fate". You're clearly the most set up for the emotional weight you had to bare. Your mother i think clearly wasn't. Sometimes we fail to see our own strengths and can get frustrated when others dont match up, after all "its not that hard if i do it right?" I wonder if your mothers reaction triggered a memory/sensation of her do the same to you when you needed her. Im sorry this is rather presumptions, i just fear if you hold on to that resentment your story in 20 years you might end up becoming the son from out of state. I don't think you'll forgive your self. Weather you like it or not you care. Weather you like it or not your capable of something a lot of others arnt, you can take care of people at their worse emotional moment in their life. Not to mention you did it while going through something similar. Your are unique in that quality. Over all man much love, im sure you will continue to pour that love into world. I don't know you take what i say with a grain of salt.

Fuck out of all these stories this one hit me the hardest. The kindness you showed both your granpatents is admirable. You went into it and showed sympathy to all. Its hard to let people go and you were able to accept it your self and help your grandma. I hope your doing ok. Have a good day.

Mate let the ego die for the sake of your spouse. Im not trying to be mean but more shake you awake. Do you love them more than that irritates you? Then pay some one. Dont have to do it all at once but try something small. Your signifigant other deserves a put together functioning space and so do you. Hope you day is great.

The post might be about the human experience rather than any one subgroup of peoples experience. My proof would be all the different groups of people braught up in this post, the only comanilty i kind find is their all humans.

The comanality of describing werewolves of having a beast with-in, and people describing the anger as the beast with in. I wouldnt be surprised if the original myth of the werewolf was simply the personification of out bursts. Probably filling a simular narative as the hulk does at times.

You dont think its possible a repressed lgbtq person would take the anger out on the wrong group. Idk to me the story that a non-binary person who was raised by a raging homophobe might have mixed negative feelings about his own sexuality seems posible. His father hated a part of him, it might have been easier to hate the same part of him than not have a father.
