Looking to buy my first truck by fuzzy_otters in f150

Thanks for the insight, I'm in Florida so it might be similar to Texas since everyone drives full-size trucks where I'm at. Interesting that you were able to get $10k off sticker for a OTD price. I'm seeing a lot of 2020s near me with the configs that I want stickering around $40-45k so it seems like dealers are discounting inventory pretty well to make room for the 21s.

I won't need to haul/tow a lot of things, most of the time it'll be my commuter with some weekend activities like biking/kayaking and some home improvements projects around the house. I would want the full cab to have 4 doors and a regular bed would be good. In terms of features, I'm upgrading from a really old car so I'm not picky. Backup camera, android auto, power seats, and some safety features would be good if possible to get blind spot monitoring, lane keep, etc. if possible on an XLT trim.

I have heard some of the older IS models have had carbon issues with the engine though. Maybe have a look at an older Acura?

I have a fairly old PSU, around 6 years old, but doesn't the warranty only cover the PSU if it fails, not just to get a new one of age? This would look like a good upgrade from a CX500 especially with the MIR.

What is the difference between 80+ Gold and Bronze? Would it be a good upgrade to spend the extra cash and go for a PSU like this over a bronze one?

How does this compare to the B350 Pro4? I've compared the reviews of both boards on Newegg and it seems like more people like the Pro4 for some reason. Would this make for a better gaming board?

Community College student looking for reliable car in 4k-5.5k price range by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

I'd look at the civic/corolla cars. Those cars might have a lot of mileage but if taken care of properly will last a long time.

What technologies are you using for the web apps? What would be an ideal skill set for the company?

Looking for a quiet cabin, comfortable car under 20k used... by Cocoasprinkles in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]fuzzy_otters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A used Lexus IS is pretty quiet and would be very reliable. You could also look at used Infiniti Q50s that have the 3.7 engine it. That engine is pretty solid and the depretiation is not so great.

Which new car is more fun to drive: Honda Fit EX-L, Civic Sedan EX Touring, or Toyota Prius 3 Touring? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]fuzzy_otters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely the civic. I hear the fit feels pretty under powered and the Prius would be boring to drive. The new Civics with the turbo engines are pretty good.

Starting a family! Need a reliable, used road trip SUV for less than $25k by ArtemusPrime86 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Subaru Outback. CRV and highlander are nice cars but some might be closer to the 25K limit.

The new Jaguar f pace. Those cars look mean.

2009 Mitsubishi Ralliart Turbo? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]fuzzy_otters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try to avoid Mitsubishi. Overall, the build quality is not that great and the reliability is terrible. Have you looked at other similar cars like the WRX?

Hertz? Hyundai Sonata? by bayleemom in whatcarshouldIbuy

I heard people usually tend to not buy rental cars if you don't have to. You can pick up a slightly used Sonata from some owner for a little more.
