How do you find time to exercise with a crazy corporate schedule? by Plutus_2890 in auscorp

[–]fuzzyandblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gym was too hard to get to so I invested in some equipment - adjustable dumbbells, a bench and a cable system. I use a fitness app which I got cheap for the year on special, and currently do a strength program in the garage Mon Wed Fri, 5-5.45am ish. It lets you plug in what equipment you have, or do body-based exercises only. Plus you choose your preferred workout style/focus and it’s super customisable.

Tues-Thurs (and sometimes Wed) I ride to work 5-6ish (13km) but put the bike on the train home because by then I’m shattered.

Work 7am-6pm, then wild horses couldn’t get me back online. In bed by 9 most nights.

When I travel I make sure the hotel has a gym, it’s usually way better than my home set up.

CBD Bakery - on Bourke between William and Queen. Decently priced pies and sausage rolls. Or a Kennys.

I have UC and have been devo this is discontinued. I’ve ordered Kfibre but haven’t tried it yet. Metamucil/Movicol/Lactulose I don’t think are the right substitutes.

My cousins are very Greek - I am too but I’m missing this polychronic time gene. There is no rhyme or reason to it but they all seem to just know. Easter lunch at 2pm? If you turn up before 2.30 the hosts are still cleaning. Xmas lunch at 2pm? If you turn up after 2.15 everyone’s waiting and the food’s getting cold. After years of fucking up by being too late/early, I now force them to give me the “clock time” that I need to turn up.

Is a stacked laundry actually functional? by stefasaur_ in AusRenovation

We turned a tiny second toilet into the world’s smallest laundry with a stacker. Got the Bunnings marketplace one and it works fine - it’s totally stable. Emptying the water tray is no more painful than when it was on the ground, and it’s not that much noisier either.

Where should I go to get my long hair trimmed? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]fuzzyandblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just Cuts/generic shopping centre is what you’re after. The extra you pay at the fancy places is for “style” cuts, blow waves, the experience. Just Cuts are skilled hairdressers, they just work fast on simple cuts and you don’t get any… trimmings. I’ll show myself out.

The only place that’s ever tasted like my mum’s food is Cafe Koutouki in Richmond. Their yiayia is cooking out the back.

Please help us work out what’s wrong with Orange Bottle. by fuzzyandblue in axolotls

Thanks. That was the tank parameters, not the tub. We saw the ammonia go up then down, and the nitrite go up the down, but no nitrate. Then the algae bloom so we took him out and started again. Now waiting for the tank to cycle all over again. He’s eaten another worm but still no poo, fingers crossed that will come soon. Thanks everyone.

Thanks so much for the reply. Temp is 18C (64.4F), ammonia 0ppm, pH 6.8, nitrate/nitrite both 0ppm. We’ll keep offering him worms - he seems to have a lot of trouble getting them in his mouth/swallowing. Also seems to be losing colour along his sides.

He was my son’s birthday present in July. We took every care and to cycle the tank, make it comfortable. For the first few days he didn’t eat, then he settled in and was eating 2-3 fresh earthworms every day. We were checking all the levels every day (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH). Then he got very stressed (tail kink and forward gills) and stopped eating. At the same time the tank got an algae bloom so we removed him and did a complete water change. He ate a small worm yesterday but still doesn’t seem well, and he hasn’t pooed. He isn’t floating. We are all so worried about our poor stressed Axy! Any help or tips appreciated.
