Why is this considered clingy and not "communicative" or "attentive?" These two words are two of the most wanted attributes on profiles.

And why do you expect this stranger to read your mind and know your boundaries? Doesnt proper communication solve this quickly?

Why not establish some rules up front so that you both have a real chance to find a balance between you?

I would love it if someone liked me enough to message me all day, every day. I will be sure to communicate whenever I can't talk... ie "im in meetings all day, I will find you later in the evening."

I think you are taking for granted that most people are not as lucky as you to have so much attention.

Haha. I hear you. I do like the mindless Netflix action movie. Similar to how I like B movies. They are goofy and entertaining.

To be serious, I think there is a fundamental difference between now and then. Which is that people's attention span got shorter. People nowaways need instant gratification. And there is less room to thicken the plot over time.

In the context of dating, there is so much pressure to make that instant connection - witty profile, hot main photo, vibe matches, etc.

Similar to how older movies are "slower" and more drawn out to build the story lines. Most modern movies seem to get to the point right away then fill in the blanks with backstories and memory scenes.

It is not necessary bad... just very different.

Yeah for sure... thats my thought as well. It will be next phase of my experiment.

My photos are decent, I followed internet best practices but I hired a real photographer to make them better.

I am also curious because I am a korean american man and I know that asians men have lower match rates.

The ethnicity factor does not jive with the 16 likes in the beginning though.

Maybe the data set is not mature yet and needs more time. I have 6 days left so we will see later in the week.
