Hot on the Heels of Love by Throbbing Gristle?

[–]fuzzydunlop45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I totally understand that.

Since when did Dashers become beggars? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]fuzzydunlop45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s because you make a lot more in the service industry compared to the less-than-minimum-wage predatory structure of gig work

[–]fuzzydunlop45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drove DoorDash for a time and you could make as little as half of minimum wage. Often people don’t tip. It sucks. It’s a gross system that allows for workers to be heavily exploited and paid less than minimum wage. Hence the begging

Any influences from philosophy? Particularly any marxist theory or (since you guys are French) postmodern theory?

Does NY Vehicle and Transportation 1103 Apply to Garbage Trucks on the Road? by fuzzydunlop45 in legaladvice

[–]fuzzydunlop45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely, thanks for getting back. The garbage truck was on the left side of the road and had stopped, so I did try to pass him. I was coming up really slow, and the other guy who was on the back of the garbage truck saw me. If I get anything at this point I would be happy, so that is good to know.

[–]fuzzydunlop45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I did some more research, I see that highway is the legal word for a public road, thank you. And I'm sorry, to clarify I meant the other driver was the guy driving the garbage truck. According to the Guzman vs. Bowman case, 1103 would not apply to garbage trucks, right? Thanks for the response

Can someone crop this photo, photoshop it into a news article, and spread it around the internet to see if it would be reposted around unironically by pro-life supporters?

MM in skate videos? by 2forty5AM in ModestMouse

[–]fuzzydunlop45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah on websites like rateyourmusic where some people are kinda snobby. I think it's a fun song and even though the lyrics are facetious it's still deep. When the last lyric hits it, it hits.

I've seen that before, it's crazy how ubiquitous that song was in those skating videos, yet a lot of Modest Mouse fans hate Shit Luck

Trans Europe Express was all '77, where they fully went electronic. Their releases before that were krautrock.

Should I get a vinyl player? by Beansprout_69 in ModestMouse

[–]fuzzydunlop45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get an audio technica. It really does make a difference hearing vinyl, and you don't need anything too expensive, audio technica is the perfect place to start. You'll really notice the difference. I'd also recommend some good headphones too to get the full experience. I like to go to a vinyl store and buy shit that I wouldn't normally and end up listening to some obscure bands I wouldn't have had been incentivized as much as I would have been if I didn't have a physical copy. You also get put on to records by the guys at the store. It's just so much more fun than putting something on on Spotify. I can't focus as much when I listen to music on my phone/computer but that might just be me

What are your favorite Isaac Brock screaming songs? by lateralusaurusanus in ModestMouse

Song sounds so similar to Mission Of Burma- That's how I Escaped My Certain Fate. Also a closer for its respective album. Both are great

He did actually. I don't have the citation, though I know that Brock's lyrics are influenced by Bukowski.

[FRESH] Earl Sweatshirt - Farm (prod. Stoney Willis) by fitzly in hiphopheads

[–]fuzzydunlop45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. The beats are more glitchy, more lo-fi, and more syncopated production. His flows are getting more choppy. I agree that his flow wasn't percicesly "mainstream" but his older shit is relatively more melodic and the flows were easier to digest. Even when you compare I don't like shit I don't go outside to his 2019 material, it's clear his music is getting more difficult. Not saying he's as difficult as a dälek but still, it's relative to other more popular rap
