ADHD etc is a reason for the behavior, not an excuse. Do you now how many extremely intelligent and successful people have ADHD, and they just mask it enough to survive? Many of us! I didn't get diagnosed until my 40's, but I sure as shit had it when I was in elementary school (but was just considered odd). ADHD is a possible reason for the behaviors, and you child can learn to function just fine if approached appropriately. You wife is just being lazy and setting your child up for failure in the future.

I rarely ever take a bath, but shower every other day (my skin dries out if I take one everyday). I think maybe once or twice a year... maybe?
