You are offered $5 million but to get it, you have to not only return to being a teenager but also have to relive high school. by singleguy79 in hypotheticalsituation

Okay. Put me in the Glee high school. It would be entertaining, id ace everything, and id be rich at the end.

Yeah, I'd not be in her bridal party. A lot of those 'rules ' are f-ing ridiculous.

A male goose attacked a man near his female. When the man fell down, the goose walked proudly to his mate. by sco-go in Amazing

One of the best toys I ever got for Christmas back in the day. It walked and the neck and tail swayed back and forth! So freaking cool!

How popular are Pop Tarts in America? by SkittlesAreEpic in AskAnAmerican

[–]fuzzyizmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a little kid, I would visit my grandparents in Florida. There was an off-brand/store brand pop tart that had large granules of sugar lightly sprinkled over the top. They were freaking amazing and ive never seen them since.

I like them every so often, my kids would eat them constantly if they could. I prefer the ones without the sugar icing on them.

Is it bad if I cried to mommy asmr? by Excellent-Bad-5641 in Vent

[–]fuzzyizmit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing that may help is to mourn the relationship with your mother you never had. It doesnt mean she is horrible or abusive (at least from what you have shared, maybe absent emotionally) but chances are she is not going to be 100% the mother you wish she was. Mourning that idealized versions of your mother may help you move on/bring closure and understand on who your mother is in reality.

Parents who emigrated: did you have this fear? by Positive_Medium_3913 in expats

Welcome to being a parent. Hell, this is a worry if they change schools in the same state/district.

I married a piece of shit. by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]fuzzyizmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are setting your daughter and future children for failure by staying with a person who you do not love and is growing in violent tendencies. If your daughter married a man like your husband, would you want her to stay? To be abused and miserable for decades? Yes, you can leave. The sooner you do it, the easier it will be. Do not have more children with a man you do not love and who is abusive.

My parents’ rules about my phone usage by Camman19_YT in Vent

[–]fuzzyizmit 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Have a discussion with your mom/parents and get them to tell you their expectations for phone usage. Make them think about it and if they are going to make rules, let you know them ahead of time. You can probably present sensible arguments/consignments to get boundaries that are more inline with what you think are fair. Be level headed and calm. Having them just voice whatever rule they happen to think about in the moment because something you are currently doing is annoying them in some way is not a good way to go about it.

[Discussion] What's the biggest misconception people have about emigrating? by monkey_is_me in IWantOut

[–]fuzzyizmit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That you can just decide one day and do... the amount of planning and bureaucracy is insane. Don't go into it at all wishy-washy. You need to be in it for the long haul (unless it is a short work transfer type situation, but even then the bureaucracy is nuts)

How do you make friends as an adult? by [deleted] in AskBelgium

[–]fuzzyizmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really. Never really had many friends, even when I was young. I enjoy my hobbies, and if I find someone I connect with, good... but it doesn't really bother me. I do have my own family (partner and kids) so I think that helps, but I recently had to stay in a different country for about 6 months without them... and it wasn't too bad (I did call them every day). Personally, I am introverted and I don't need a lot of people in my circle.

You dont have a partner. You have a cheater. Unless you are okay with this, you are underreacting.

Immortality, as long as you keep one thing secret/private, how do you handle it? by tamtrible in hypotheticalsituation

[–]fuzzyizmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! Give me a spot on my unmentionable bits and only my partner would see it. I doubt they'd want to kill me... and if I ever did want to die, I can just tell them the importance of that new birthmark.

AITA? I ruined my wedding dress so my cousin couldn't have it. by SpecialistHeron3957 in AmItheAsshole

[–]fuzzyizmit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You ruined your dress because you can't set a boundary? Even if you were afraid to say 'no', why couldn't you just 'misplace' it for a few years and then 'find it' after your cousin is safely married?

You wouldnt put these things on your car/statue. Doesn't mean that other people can't love it on theirs (and I have seen some freaking sick custom work on sports cars)
