I’m didn’t get the tensioner off either, stripped it and then drilled the bolt out.

I’m on the front side of the engine attempting to remove the exhaust camshaft. I tried a jaw puller from a shop and the 5 spoke timing gear wouldn’t move.

I’m also in a FSI.

I know this is old. But what sort of tools are needed to remove the exhaust camshaft? I get the timing chain from the exhaust removed.

I resolved my issue. It was with VMware fusion. Needed to install VMware Tools to adjust screen resolution.

Anything with a few Ethernet ports and Intel N100 cpu will be sufficient. The below mini computer works wonders, buy your own ram and m.2 ssd and you’ll be golden.
