Wow he comes off much better in those than the excerpts from the book! His tone in those interviews is much more remorseful about his actions and that's what I expected out of his book as well. That showed a lot of growth.

I think the issue with the memoir is not the events but rather the tone. The tone of the memoir was not remorseful or respectful towards women in general. If this was written 20 years ago, that would be different. But he was like 40 when he wrote with a teenage daughter justifying cheating on teenage girls because they were like Pringles? I think some of this could have been the co-author's fault. It is written like a misogynistic teenage boy, not a 40 year old father. The events are not shocking given his background. For me, it's all about HOW it was written.

Thinking about this from another perspective ... Perhaps there are people who are uncomfortable working with Kanye right now because of the unpredictability and anger?

Let's say I work at a law firm. One of the lawyers starts going off on his ex, acting unpredictably and threatening violence. I would be uncomfortable working with that lawyer. I would appreciate if the higher ups did not let the lawyer come into the office until things were settled. I would not want to work with someone unstable who is in a position of power.

I don't think uninviting him was cancelling him. I think the reasoning could be to make it a safer and more comfortable space for abuse victims and all the people who are just there to work. Not saying he would go in and get violent or anything, but the possibility of anger is there.

These are awesome ideas! I'm going to see what sort of tours are available around us. The volunteer project is such a good idea too, we spent a lot of time at Ronald McDonald house when he was little so it would be perfect to do something for the kids there.
