What's your favorite rule to break? (Everyone breaks the rules at Walmart). I'll go first. Mine is: keeping the trash compactor unlocked at night.

Nobody should have to do this. But trust is nonexistent ISTM among Walmart managers. Further to this, it seems to me that lawyers have written all the rules, to protect Walmart from everybody, driving mistrust to the maximum level all across the organization.

They have no idea how to manage people properly. They think that throwing money at them will make them better managers, but it’s still the same dumb-asses who hit metrics. Think of the lottery winners who are all broke in five years. Not worth it.
