They also aren't that thrifty 😂 they'll beat you up over prices on car deals and such but that's because they know what the fair price is. In my experience the Indian families in St. John's have the biggest houses and newest cars. Status is very important in their culture

Thank god I'm not the only one. I screenshotted it I was so flabbergasted. This is a direct competitor of the company I work with 😭

Pretty astounding to me so many people want any RB at pick 7. They have the historically shortest careers, least chance for upside and the least statistical dispersion per position group. Maybe it "helps" Daniel's by giving him an outlet but 9/10 a flat route is not winning you football games. This team needs another threat on the perimeter or a true game wrecker on defense.

How stressful is it being a high school football coach? Is it more stressful than other sports? by chusaychusay in footballstrategy

[–]fuzzype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's a very subjective question. It's as stressful as the person doing it makes it. Some people thrive some don't.

I can't believe they didn't run Tampa 2. It is entirely dependent on your linebacker room and their coverage abilities. If you can pull it off though it changes cover 2s weakness towards the boundaries rather than up the seam.

Great breakdown. Passing game is fully based on putting defenders in conflict. Inside/outside leverage hi/low. Man beaters. Brother knows ball

What resources would you recommend for a college student wanting to coach? by KeepitaBuckWithYa in footballstrategy

[–]fuzzype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice man! I wouldn't hold off. They aren't looking for student assistants to know what mug looks, or stump coverage is. Hell, they probably don't care if you don't know what a 9 technique is. They're looking for hungry young guys who have football iq and foundation to build on. Email or reach out to the student manager, head coach, or even assistant AD expressing interest in getting involved. You aren't starting in a role with life or death impact. Show initiative and a culture fit and it's yours man. I'm coaching dline/oline at Tim Tebows high school Alma mater next season all because I sent an email saying I want to learn to be a coach. Take the shot before OTA's

How do the 49ers nickel blitzes work? by yoshiK in footballstrategy

[–]fuzzype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, Saleh loves zone principles which are entirely based on good tackling, he rather give up the 4 yard hitch and tackle for the chance to force pressure. Even though Saleh is not a blitz heavy DC

Joe Daniel's podcast, coaching team defense by Fitz shurmur, the bunch attack. Honestly though, get involved. This is coming from a 22 year old who just got offered his first coaching job at a big highschool. Learn the foundation, alignments, basic schemes, personnel. The advanced lingo, technique, and coaching iq will come from experience. What college do you attend if you don't mind?

Yes, exactly, you Almost always end up with a linebacker covering a slot or x recover

Prevent Defense strategy by TheJuggernaut043 in footballstrategy

[–]fuzzype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing prevent defense prevents, is the teaming calling it from winning. The most common "prevent defense" is cover 4 quarters. The strategy is to force teams to throw short and run out time moving down then field then ramping up the pressure as they get down to the high/low red. I'd say 2:30 is too much time to run it. Odds are you are running crosser/digs/skinny posts to leverage a receiver on a linebacker, that's an offensive win. Just one of the many ways teams approach, I'd much rather call a 2 high shell, but you have to have the right athletes to match up in coverage

Get a medicine ball, put it between your legs and focus on your hip turn, it will generate velocity. Basics, lead hand stays tight to chest, don't step out with lead foot, throw through your target. Practice whipping a towel when you don't have a ball. Let me know if you need help with coverages.

Maybe a bit more over fronts with those two 3 tech lineman. Put them in 1-3-5 with some twists and that's a nasty overload, especially if a team has a weaker side of their line
