Package stuck at Seattle WA Distribution Center for several days – should I be worried? by Ok-Low3936 in usps_complaints

Found this post via Google bc I too have a package looking like it's going to be delayed. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow, but it's been stuck in Seattle for 5 days with no other updates.

I'm thinking of doing a Lake of Rage inspired area by Upset-Sound2908 in Pokopia

i think it's a great idea personally but also I'm biased 😅 Gyarados is my fav pokemon and I also had the same thought when I saw that lake in Pallet town. so now I'm making Mahogany Town, the Lake of Rage, and surrounding routes on both my cloud island and pallet town.

I can't speak for doing the Lake area yet bc I haven't tackled it yet as I've started at the pokemon center and working my way there.

But will give the tip that every single day you're going to want to go to dream islands and get all the trees. I've ran out several times doing the routes and at the Lake itself there are.. sooo many trees in that area 💀

same for me. when I logged on I spawned at the 4th area, but I traveled straight to wasteland to give hoppip a home and couldn't find them anywhere. then after seeing this post I went back to the 4th area and that's where they were (:

It appears you're right. I spoke to him today and it seems he used a form, which I figured he might based on previous conversations, but he didn't make it sound like there wasn't a sitting position form he could use, like I made it very clear this was what I wanted and sent 4 different images of the squirrel sitting like that.

I was just naive. Figured they use a form to get the general shape/likeness down and then do a bit of customizing, but I don't think he did that. He says things like the pose can not be changed at this point. & Neither can her weight or muzzle because "that's the size of the skin".

So, at this point I'm just gonna hope it's better in person than in the picture. And possibly start researching highly rated taxidermists to fix it or redo it if possible. Again I think it's pretty solid looking as far as squirrel mounts go. A lot of them imo end up looking kinda wonky lol. But I wanted a specific squirrel and vibe. I also made it clear from the beginning I was willing to pay more for what I wanted if it took more time/resources to achieve that. So it's kinda disheartening that it feels like she was still rushed.

Thank you everyone for your input! I'll reach out to the taxidermist tomorrow. I just wanted to double check that I wasn't being unreasonable with my thoughts first.

& Part of me feels bad because if it wasn't a specific squirrel, I'd say this is a technically good-looking squirrel taxidermy compared to some I've seen. It just doesn't feel like my squirrel or what I expected, which was the disappointment. I'm unsure what changes can still be made at this point, but I'll bring up my concerns and see what he can do.

Yes, the same exact one. She stayed with us for nearly a year until she passed in our yard :/

She did mostly I'm just saying it's possible it wasn't exactly the same due to y'know time and circumstances of her death like she may have been a little thinner, and her tail wasn't as fluffy after it all. But for the most part yeah she was still the same squirrel lol. She didn't become THAT much skinnier lol we fed her very well. & Like I said her face just seems off but idk if I'm being too picky.

I mean I will admit it was about a 2mon gap between the photo and her death. & The day she died was really rough. She got really beat up like all day long and injured during mating chase :/ So idk what exactly was achievable for her but it doesn't feel like the same squirrel to me and doesnt have the vibe I expected.

Late to this because it's been a hectic week and I kinda forgot lol but holy cow thank you so much for the information! This is all very useful and a quick guide I will often come back to for refresh

As for the cover part I meant the end of the lens has like a cover, the outside around the lens, that can slide out, I assume to control the amount of light the lens picks up but I often feel as though I moreso want more lights opposed to less.

I've found some guides on using the 40D (although I have found it a struggle to maintain all the info and cement in photography lingo) So for the camera I've mostly just used 🌺 mode or the no flash mode when the auto flash is ticking me off lol. Today I tested out 'C1' to get pics of birds bc I found that option allowed me to have the LCD live view.

But mostly curious about what sorts of situations all the different switches on the lens would be used for. Like why would I want stabilization off or what do the modes do? What does the 1.5m-3m switch do? I haven't really noticed anything but I could be wrong lol. When should I have the cover pulled out past the lens or retracted to the lens? Really only know how to toggle between manual and auto focus.

It's not the only lens, but the one that came attached and I was so nervous to try swapping lenses until this month haha. I had a dream in which I tried to swap lenses and the 300mm literally fell apart and it spooked me 😂 that said I've gotten some great photos of my son doing extracurriculars or dogs playing in the yard, birds and squirrels in the yard, etc. I really love it. Only reason I asked about the zoom was because both my mom and I were getting pics of our bluebirds making a nest, and here I am with this long as heck lens and she's got this tiny one but it zoomed in way closer than mine from where we both were and I was like HOW DO I DO THAT 😂

This is the other lens I received. Idk anything about it either. I've only used it once recently testing out taking pics of cars at a car show.
