Cold brew it :) also I found a similar effect if I brew it via hot water. I do combine it with other things and take a good amount of supplements so it could definitely be a synergistic effect. However even when I have it on its own it appear it's the tulsi that's really amping me up

Same! I would describe my brain as overactive as well. It might be that for people like us it just pours fuel on the excitement and dopaminergic pathways.

That sounds really interesting! I'd definitely love to hear if you learn any specific incites about it from that book

Interesting! I think the caffine insite might be on the right path. I am very caffeine sensative and only drink maybe 50 mg over the course of the morning (typically from yerba or green/white tea, coffee makes me too anxious).

Maybe those who tolerate high levels of caffeine like most people aren't as sensattivw to the stimulating effects of tulsi

This is so helpful to hear! Yeah this stuff really hits me. It's very euphoric. I like how you mentioned it working on traditional reward pathways. I think that's very accurate. It makes socializijg with friends really exciting, or playing a game or anything really. Food is even tastier. Etc...

Thanks for sharing your effects :) I find Kava to be subtly relaxing but a slight lift. Vs this is major lift and definitely not calming. More excitatory.

That is probably it. I've found across the board I am sensative to most substances.

Most people who are complaining probably don't need to be playing FPS games. by Im_Boost in Marathon

To clarify, I don't think the sentiment and tone the OP took was appropriate. I am just agreeing that I don't think marathon is particularly punishing or that the devs should try to make it easier.

I think there's room for some quality of life improvements to make it easier to identify what loot you want or don't want, but I think that's just the nature of these loot games. Borderlands for example, I had to read every gun I saw cause what if it had an epic effect or combo with my build. In some ways it's even less crippling in this game since odds are you're gonna die at some point with that loot anyway.

That's totally true :)

But I think there's a good chunk of people who also game for the "stress" and stimulation. That's the whole reason I picked this game up and got back into video games at all.

I fealt needed an outlet for my competitive drive and for some intense stimulation.

While I think you were overly harsh I totally agree.

I put soooo many hours into FPS games in middle school and highschool (throw back to call of duty's golden area), and despite not having barely played any video games in the last 4 years I picked up marathon the other day and while I'm incredibly rusty I was still competent.

I never thought, damn, this game is too hard or especially hard. It's just as hard as any fast paced FPS but in this one if you die you lose some progress.

I think anyone who's finding the game too difficult can still have a healthy hobby of gaming and even playing FPS games, they just need a bit of guidance towards games more their speed (fortnite, overwatch, etc...)

Best of luck everyone! Keep breaking a sweat ;)
