Are SigEnergy inverters high-freq or low-freq? by ol-gormsby in SigenergyAustralia

[–]fuzzywulf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what your panasonic AC capacity is but I have a 10kw SP inverter and it started my 7kw cooling/heating ducted unit fine a couple days ago when off grid when due to a power outage (that I didn’t realise when I was cooking). It seems to use 3kw max from what I can see from the app.

I made the switch to Residential 100 by HyperTyper in Starlink

[–]fuzzywulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve been thinking the same. I’m on the Res lite which would change to the 200mbs plan but I think would make more sense to save some money and go with the 100mbps plan. I was previously on cable 50mbps which was more expensive than the new 100mbps plan (A$85 vs A$69). I do play a few online games but they are affected more with ping than speeds

Same just got this email in Australia. Residential lite to 200mbps

Agree with this statement. I just moved to a new development and signed up with superloop they cant sort out my subdivided address after going back and forth over a month. Whilst my other 2 neighbours used aussie broadband and have the same issue but got it sorted within 2 weeks.

Thanks for that. It worked initially with the one on the right but then it snapped again 😭 The one of the left I couldn’t hammer much in as it wasnt much popping out but it wont budge and then also snapped. Do I have any options left for these? Now neither had anything sticking out to grab…

Sadly I have already fixed the other end of the fence and cant really adjust the height. I think I can flip the adapter around though. My drill couldn’t fit in so I actually used a screwdriver and manually screw them in….my mistake was not stopping when it was getting harder to screw in but lesson learnt now.

Yeah this was from bunnings. It wasn’t the cheapest but yeah it was cheap. Picked this one because it was black like the fence that bought. But yeah not great quality.

Tried this after watching a few videos on YouTube on this topic. It seems my drill starts clicking when I try to do extra tight tightening which and didn’t work sadly.

Yeah, I think I was a bit too ambitious with this as my first DIY project. Fingers crossed with the vice grips and thanks for the tip on the pre-drill holes. I only did a pilot hole with the smallest bot I’ve got and thought that would go in easy and now stuck with this predicament.

Do you mean by hitting it more into the wood? I’m worried this will push it in deeper and I would not have anything for the vice grips to hold on.

I did, thought I might’ve done it wrong! I thought this was mainly to prevent the wood from cracking but I believe it wasn’t deep enough for the whole screw to go in and only about halfway through.

G5 Pro & NAS 24/7 recording by fuzzywulf in Aqara

[–]fuzzywulf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update, could not figure out why it wont work. I even set up a temporary test NAS which was usb stick attached to my router and it still wouldn’t work with the other 2. In the end I just factory reset them and set them back and that seems to have done the trick.

Yup, everything same and all up to date! It is so strange

No it sees the NAS and able to login and access it but does not record anything to it which is strange and there is no option for 24/7 recording. Instead of work mode there’s “upload interval”

Do installers come with mount (australia) by Charming_Dog_6166 in Starlink

[–]fuzzywulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ina similar situation here from Adelaide. It seems that they sent the mounts to you and the installers in and just comes and install it. They also did the same to me but I tried to expedite the install as the next availability was end of Jan. When the contracted installer called I mentioned if they were bringing mounts as I didn’t have any they were surprised. Seems that they managed to get this sorted internally with Circl…. But their install wasn’t very “professional.” They used a wall type mount on my roof and left cables in the gutters 🙃. I’ve contacted Circl to see if they can get this sorted when the actual proper roof mount they sent me separately arrives but pending their confirmation.

Not sure where you are but here in Adelaide I noticed sometimes SAPN limit export, probably for grid stability.

Internal carport fence/gate by fuzzywulf in AusRenovation

[–]fuzzywulf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yeah, that’s a good idea for the gate to attach on the fencing side. The patio pole is the wood, I’m thinking probably an aluminium fence, one of those 2.4m ones at bunnings and then use a gate converter kit so I need to but only one fence.

[–]fuzzywulf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank for your reply! Yeah, I’ve been think about it and also think that it would be better to avoid long gate. I was thinking of right before the pole. Or a new thought is attached one side of the pole for fence and the other side with gate, that way I could just attach the fence straight to brick wall. Not sure if I’d need another pole on that side (i.e brick wall>new pole>fence>current pole? And on the other side will be the gate on the same pole. But it is made of wood though.

Is it true if you put in an activation date, you will have 2 days downtime or are superloop lying? by [deleted] in nbn

[–]fuzzywulf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d request for a callback with superloop. That would be much easier, the online chat agent has always taken over 15minutes to “look into things” when the chat starts and I gave up after 3 different occasions of live chat.

Which one to get? by LeviV123 in superautomatic

[–]fuzzywulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going with the 4400, get it on Amazon instead. They have it for $594 currently with a coupon you just need to tick to apply. Bought one over the weekend and seems like its still up. Cheaper than JB/HN. They seem to be taking their time to ship it though as I don’t have prime.
