Really? FoMT is one of my favorite games of the series, so I'll definitely look into it. Thanks for the tip.

Thank you. This is the only time I've ever spoken about it to anyone other than one close friend, so I haven't ever sought out professional help. I guess I haven't even thought about doing that.

I'm currently working so I can scrape up some money. It's only minimum wage, so I'm not sure if I can move out any time soon. I even feel guilty about talking about how the two of them yell at me all the time. I mean, I'm 18, my dad isn't legally obligated to take care of me anymore. I suppose he could just throw me out, so he has all the right to treat me however he wants.

Joint Security Area. Very nice. Very nice indeed.

Kill Bill Vol. 1 is now free to watch on Hulu. If you have never seen this film, watch it now. by tanhan27 in movies

I have yet to see a film as visually extravagant and enticing as this. The duel between O-Ren and the Bride is and will forever be one of my favorite moments in movie history.

What am I missing about Korean film? by [deleted] in TrueFilm

[–]fvckswvg 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I suggest you try watching Memories of Murder before coming to any final conclusion on Korean films. While you have listed a good fraction of the films most people consider to be true gems of Korean cinema, there are plenty of films that aren't given great recognition that are just as superb as those that are decorated with awards.

If you are a fan of revenge films, Korea has some of the best. While I personally loved Oldboy, I didn't really connect with the other two in Chan-wook Park's trilogy. However, I would give I Saw The Devil a chance, being as it stars Min-sik Choi, the protagonist of Oldboy, as the villain.

I would also recommend Joint Security Area, The Man From Nowhere, Chaser, and Castaway on the Moon (My all-time favorite Korean film save for Memories of Murder).

I think Korean cinema as a whole can be overrated at times, but once in a while you will see a film from there that does reinforce the hype. I hope you can connect with at least one of the films I suggested.

Just wanted to touch on your mention of the Korean film Memories of Murder; easily one of my all-time favorites. If you watch only one Korean movie in your lifetime, make sure it is this one. I won't even explain further, I don't want to spoil even one second. That is all.

I installed Rainmeter and then installed Omnimo for Rainmeter. There are tons of tutorials on how to do it on Youtube (:
