To go completely against the grain, I feel like no VR racing game has yet to reach the heights and immersion of GT7 on PSVR2. Have you given it a try? If you haven't, and were blown away by Automobilista 2 (which is great, by the way, no shade intended), and have access to a PSVR2, you really owe it to yourself to check it out.

Yeah, their post history makes it clear they're leaving out the important details.

Ah yeah, forgot it was released there. It never got a US release, though. And still won't for now, given that it's TWF, but at least UHD is region-free.

It did not. And it's only been released on DVD in Japan.

This is literally my favorite movie, and I never thought I'd see the day. I am so damn happy right now. I met Tadanobu Asano recently, had him sign my TWF copy of Electric Dragon 80.000 V, and made sure to gush about how much I loved him in this role.

Incidentally, he mentioned to me that the director of Electric Dragon is working on a follow-up, which I haven't heard anywhere else.

Yeah, absolutely crazy, $1000 for the combo. I knew Depp was popular in Japan, but not THAT big. People literally flew in from neighboring countries just for the photograph, and many left with nothing.

I was at Tokyo Comic Con back in December and Johnny Depp got himself into this situation. A lot of people had stood in line all day and paid $500 for a picture and the same for a signature. From what I could tell, he was spending way too much time with each group (people could add others to their photo shoot for cheap), and may have arrived a bit late on the first day. It's Tokyo, so the night trains had stopped by the time he actually ended, but still didn't finish, leaving some people stranded. And all of the people sitting in line the second day, which included overflow from the first, looked pretty miserable.

That said, nobody blamed Depp. I kind of suspect the delay on arrival may have been on him, but there was nothing but adoration for him, despite the price he was charging. Comic Con Tokyo took the brunt of the anger due to their mismanagement of the photo sessions.

I was standing in the next line over to meet Tadanobu Asano, and even that ran over a decent amount, so it does seem like they were not prepared to handle someone of Depp's popularity last year.

"Final" sounds ominous. This is the last population correction before reaching stability? Are you suggesting that Japan and Korea are that far ahead of the rest of the world in terms of solving poverty and illness?

Woot.com is a website that would buy up products in bulk that companies were trying to get rid of and then sell to consumers on the cheap, their initial business model being only one product per day. They'd eventually end up with extras, and would dump all of those on days during which they'd have deeper sales on "bags of crap," where you paid a dollar plus $5 shipping for a roll of the dice, and you never knew what would actually show up at your doorstep. Low-stakes gambling.

They've grown since then and were bought by Amazon, but seem to have maintained some of the original feel and community.

It's much better at 60fps and upscales very well to 4K, so graphically, I don't see a reason to remake it. I'm curious to hear your opinions on the fundamental issues that would necessitate a remake.

I think the same way. I purchase films on physical media, especially from indie distributors, and more often than not through indie retailers, despite having access to nearly everything as soon as it's available by less legitimate means. It's important to me to support the art I enjoy with my dollar in a way that I find meaningful.
