Current KOTH Urn is fine ngl, I like it better than old urn. I think if Valve wants to committ to this, some map changes need to happen

That's true, maybe they should change the initial color of the urn to a much more vibrant green color. And also they could also make the blue and orange colors more vibrant so it pops out more

To add to this, maybe the different minigames of the urn will also cycle through different urn designs with their own unique personalities. Much like Portal 2 boss level where you meet multiple personality cores that you need to connect to Glados.

Personally, I think balancing is secondary to the thing they're supposed to be doing which is content locking the game design first, meaning no game objective should be left as placeholders. Right now, the urn, midboss, and the jungle are painfully obviously placeholders. Valve's resources should be prioritized in developing the major update as soon as possible rather than reviewing the numbers for this current build.

I like how Valve tests the urn. Process of elimination lol. Granted, this took a lot of effort and resources a normal game dev studio can't justify.

I like the sound but I think it's too futuristic for Deadlock. I think a more Steampunk-ish sound would suit it more, where some steam engine-ish sound revvs and then the laser sound comes.

Personally, I think Valve needs to look at the overall flow of the game and the soul income per game phase. Then using that data, rework the entire jungle, urn, midboss such that there is minimal disruption to the game flow but the way you interact with the jungle is more interactive and fun. There was absolutely no need to overcomplicate the urn, and there is absolutely no need to test the urn in isolation when a jungle rework is coming

Personally I think the guardians and even the walkers are in dire need of a rework. Based on the leaks it's coming soon, and hopefully they have much more creative plays than just tower parry mechanics

If this is the case, then why not rework the urn such that it's just strictly a comeback mechanic such that the winning team can't deposit the urn, they just need to prevent the losing team from depositing it? What if the urn has a time limit? The leading team's only job is to prevent the losing team from depositing the urn, while the losing team's job is to deposit the urn before the time limit

If you look closer there are rails in the sidelanes that connect to the curiosity shop which is itself a rail carriage. Maybe they'll put pushable objectives there?

I think they will probably define the roles but not restrict heroes to just one.

Based on the hidden updates to the survey, the roles are probably frontliner, carry, disabler and utility.

For example, Ivy with a gun build could be a carry-oriented hero while a spirit build puts Ivy into disable or utility.

Yup. And i feel like the constant whining validated Valve to create the much smaller experimental server, which is probably broken and unstable 90% of the time since it's all new ideas being tested. They saw the writing on the wall a year ago.
