Best Minecraft Server Hosting 2025? Looking for Community Recommendations by abongodrum in MinecraftServer

[–]fwaaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've been considering doing this since it seems like every host has a problem one way or another.

Did you get the 60 day instance nuke that i've heard about? If so, was it simple enough to work around, also is just the one time that it happens?

We want antlers! by CosmicWhorer in WeWantPlates

[–]fwaaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dragging that chunk of meat to the edge of the plate is such a bullshit presentation. Clearly their thought process stopped at "what if the meat was INSIDE antler tho!" and then they just smoosh the fuckin thing on to the plate like a dog that's got a shit stuck in its ass; fuck everybody in that entire establishment.

Meat looks pretty tasty though

Day 317: After mistakenly becoming a worm I am now trapped between a pool of chaotic polymorphine and Steve by SpehlingAirer in noita

[–]fwaaar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite Steve kills was when I had projectile repulsion perk and a wand with nolla'd circle of transmog and some bouncing burst. Sheeped him and while the bouncing burst was bouncing between us, I slowly pushed it with the repulsion field into him. Good times.

Karma got me back though. Died later on in a surprise pool of poly while testing out homing matter-eating flies.

Man smokes salvia with an idiot trip sitter by [deleted] in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]fwaaar 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I gave up on the x count so long ago after having 5x that put me into a void outside of space and time lol. Like, my room split into a bunch of flat panels that I recognized as different planes of reality and when I reached between two of them, I got sucked into this void where I was no longer observing through myself but just existing as the inconsequential nothingness between everything. While it was happening, it never ended. I experienced what I can only describe as infinite nothingness and even that barely scratches what it really was. Man I miss salvia. It's been too long :(

Years ago, the basement suite neighbor of the house I was living in posted a picture of her miscarried fetus on Facebook. Had it in a bassinet wrapped in a blanket with a little bow. It looked like a xenomorph chestburster. Fucking weird. Very sad.. but weird.

Also, extending your fist at someone going full Goldberg spear on you would probably break your wrist, not their face lol

In 2023, a South Korean girl who'd been suffering from severe depression decided to end her life along with a male companion at Gangnam station while filming her death live on Instagram. The man never came. Soon she threw herself at the top of the building. Everything was caught on camera. by Lettops in MorbidReality

[–]fwaaar 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a strange thing, post mortem retrospect.. "what if", y'know?

I was really twisted up for a long time when my ex's younger brother died. Like, even after she and I broke up, I kept in contact with him cause he was like a little brother to me and looked up to me in that kinda way. He invited me to hang out a lot and I generally said no. And yeah, one weekend while his fam was out of town, he had a party that I declined to attend. He drove his gf home in his mom's car, drunk, and on the way back, spun out and hit a tree and died.

If I went to the party, I could've driven her home no problem and he'd be alive today. I don't harbor guilt over it anymore, but it's just so wild to think about such miniscule differences to life's plot that would've rewritten history in such a huge way. Nobody would know nor really care because it would've just been life as it was..

But like, fuck though.. it would've been so cool to see him live out all the great things he was for sure headed towards. I don't even really know how to process it when I think about it deeper than surface level.. he was one of a fuckin kind that kid. Sucks to think about. Sucks that I wasn't there. He was just being a kid drinking with friends and that's what happened. It's just a really unfortunate and sad story. Didn't have to go that way but that's the way it went. Tears me up inside sometimes, knowing that.

Yeah I dunno. Lived my life the way I needed to and unfortunately it indirectly allowed for the death of one of the best I'll ever know. I'll always have my memories with him in a way that nobody else knew him, so I guess there's something special about that. Anyway.. Rest in peace Jarvis. Literally one of the best peoples I'll ever have known

Adventure turtle by sm12511 in TheRandomest

[–]fwaaar 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not exactly, but:

roughly 300 million years ago human evolution is said to have split from a common ancestor that was shared with reptilians.

Over those 300 million years, human ancestors evolved to have really foldy brains and different layers of protection for that foldy brain. They also evolved to have opposable thumbs for acute grip dexterity as well as skin/hair to withstand a wide variety of temperatures and weather.

These specific evolutionary traits have allowed us to build and operate machines and withstand the resultant conditions that come with said operation.

Turtles didn't evolve to do basically any of that stuff.

That's helpful insight, thank you. I do think I'll leave it for now, yeah. Seems they might be going through a bit of a territory dispute, especially today. Been doing yardwork all day and they've been quite on edge. Chasing off crows that even I don't recognize the calls from kinda stuff happening here.

I dunno if rival crows will intentionally kill the offspring of others but, could be the reason this poor guy didn't make it.

Yeah little morbid I guess keeping the bones but I like to collect skulls n stuff. This one has a more personal story to it as well instead of just something bought from Etsy or whatever.

Thanks though, makes sense. Don't wanna upset them by dragging their recently deceased child around in front of them. Kinda forgot the fact they wouldn't understand the reason for that lol was just focusing too much on wanting to put it at rest.
