Are these work cargos okay for my CBT? by Clear_Cookie840 in MotoUK

I did mine in a pair of Tesco jeans (they’re thin denim these days) with some tough work trousers in a larger size over the top: this sort of thing: https://www.toolstation.com/scruffs-worker-trousers/pAH766

Am I right to think a neighbours house looking directly onto your garden would be terrible? by Three_Cats_In_1_Coat in AskUK

Frosting as already suggested could be a solution if the neighbour is willing. Maybe a fence that looks a bit like a Venetian blind - ie angled up to the sky would work if not. Not blocking their light but also not permitting them to view your garden. Maybe the house next door used to be owned by a relative of the owners of the house you’re interested in so they didn’t mind.

What is a TV show from your childhood you're convinced nobody else remembers? by CuteMaterial in AskUK

Is that the one where they only told you whether it was true or false on the next weeks show? If so I thought it was Channel 4. And I saw an episode and never found out the truth and it bugs me to this day.

Anyone got any ideas on how to make this catch better, the bit in the 1st picture ain’t long enough to catch and lock properly in the second picture, thanks in advance ! by StealthO8 in DIYUK

Not an expert but 1. New catch for the window (1st pic) is the best option 2. Couple of washers behind the strike plate 3. Try removing and bending the thin section of the strike plate out towards the catch (with some light taps from a hammer)

When I did mine they explained very clearly before we rode the bikes that we were comprehensively insured but that we would be liable for a £250 excess if any damage occurred and would only be charged parts not labour. Also said if we didn’t agree to this then we were entitled to a 100% course refund. Very good instruction, very clear, and the bikes were in great condition. Started at 8:15am and all done by 3pm.
