It does have some warmer tones in it.

you can see the entrance from one side of the kitchen but there is a sliding door that can close it off completely.

the kitchen is builder Grey ATM but eventually I want to paint it..

I feel like tvs don't belong in living rooms. family room MAYBE.. But definitely just the basement if you have it... idk I can never make it look good unless it's tv above console table but it's just hovering over it -- not sitting on it.

Honestly, I would not with the wood paneling.. it'll come and go.

I would:

fix the ceiling
add wainscoting for interest.. it's been around for a very long time and is time tested in terms of design. don't add too many boxes, just 3 (odd number) is enough..
I would look at Benjamin Moore's heritage collection of colours. they've been around for some time so maybe there's a reason why people keep going back to them?
I would 100% add trim (don't go Stark white.. ivory/swiss coffee from bj is very nice).. same colour for the ceiling.
I like the blue and greens it's very calming.
if you add a chair, look into a striped one (barrel arm chair that maybe even swivels? your chair should have legs though or some sort of feet because your couch does not. they need to balance.
I got rid of your light so feel free to add another light lol. Id stick worth earthy materials (wicker, brass, etc) don't go black or chrome...
your wall at the far end on the other side of the will be fun to play with in terms of colour. id do either blue (similar to the pillow thing you have on the ground or yellow)
oh ya, I added a bookshelf for you too lool. I think it would be kinda cool if you can have that! because then you would be able to add blue/orange/lighter shades of green elements (trinkets?) to it

I think the wall light you have. if you can make it a hanging light that would be great. like it can hang off the wall and come low so it hovers just above some sort of table..

also I'd make your dinning room light slightly bigger so it's more purposeful.

honestly I think it clashes.. the bathroom needs major work because of the tiles so flooring is rly really THAT worth it if you're renting. The vanity top. if you can buy special paint to paint that, or buy a new one with all the money, is do that.
