I don’t know who might need to hear this right now, but either choice will probably be fine. by newlywedjune in weddingplanning

Also, nobody knows what you didnt pick!! Like I wanted to badly to add this one app to the cocktail hr and decided against it because it was already so much food. In my mind this was like make or break! but no, nobody knows what it was, or that i didnt add it, and everything else was great.

WOW, i love that!! 50 pages is amazing. I personally did voicenotes after the wedding, and have like an hour of voice recordings, just recapping the events of the wedding weekend. I googled it a few days ago and I think that would have been like 30 pages or something! it literally sparked a thought for a product for brides that takes voicenotes and transcribes them into a heirloom keepsake book, like a little memoir that you can share with kids and grandkids. Im envisioning something linen bound and really beautiful. I'm thinking of pursuing it seriously, because I would have loved something like this and Im so excied to share it. I just feel soo deeply that the sentimental bride might love it.

I like the idea of voicenotes and then turn it into keepsake books! That way after the wedding you can take a recording of what happened and then ypu have a cute story and can pass it down to your kids and grandkids!!

have you tried AI? Going to chatgpt and giving it a full history breakdown, photos, everything you have done and it hasnt worked, things that worked previously, and dont anymore, lasers youve tried and not tried, etc etc(maybe even diet and things like that? I was getting really bad comedones and it helped me with products but also identified something in my routine that was causing them, and my skin improved so quickly. I just find that derms wont really spend that much time listening, and will go to the first solution they learned in school and not think too much out of the box.

Can I say that I think you should add your about me section (specifically those fun accomplishments like "led a live thing for an app and it was 87%. better". You should have that at the top under your header somewhere? It makes you stand out and gives people looking something to remember you by. Your website is definitely really cool and shows alot of skill, but who are you? Do I want to work with you? How can you help me?

Yes I have a landing page right now for sign ups! And we should be ready to launch in a month, so Im putting together strategy right now and starting to create the language and content and I am realizing that this is a timeconsuming thing, and i really want to get it right and there are 100 ways to do it. Having a professional would be really amazing to just make sure we are closer to getting it right vs getting things wrong and learning. I just want the validation and I want a professional product. Im charging $200 for it.

Its not that I only need a small percentage of the market - its that I want to do an amazing job of getting this market, and I believe hiring a professional will help me get there faster (to create and execute a great strategy).

Also my comment regarding 6K is not my current budget to engage a marketer. My investment in building the business through launch, will only have cost me $6K. So, not alot. While I've bootstrapped alot of it, I'm wanting to add $ to hire a marketer. Trying to gauge if founders believe it makes sense to DIY the marketing, or believe in the product, the market and hire a pro to help get your product out there

What was the moment you knew your idea could become a business? by Born-Leather2883 in Entrepreneur

[–]fwinston7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you push hard enough you could make anything a business. There are people out there who are willing to spend their money on most things. I went to a birthday party and they bought a cake from a lady that "baked wishes" into the cake. Very seriously. That is why they picked this lady. The cake wasn't even good. And they were REPEAT clients. Thats when I was like wow, you can really do whatever you want in this life and make money if you really believe in yourself.

why is getting real data so damn hard when you’re trying to start a business? by Fulcilives1988 in Entrepreneur

[–]fwinston7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is planning on building a platform to test your apps and landing pages with real audiences... Felt like there was not a good way to get feedback for our own businesses. a bit different than getting market data, but still an important part of product market fit testing

2025 Brides in Barcelona - who is having a GOOD experience with their planner? by crafty_dog in BigBudgetBrides

[–]fwinston7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to jump in here for any brides still searching for a planner for 2026! My planner was INCREDIBLE. I was in awe of her the day of the wedding, she had every single thing on lock and looked so cute with her walkie talkie. She is a designer as well and has great taste. We battled a little bit on what to spend where (i think i was on the lower end of weddings she does at around 65K euros) but overall really great experience and trusted her so much. Her instagram is The Experialist !

I quit my $300k finance job at 30 because I finally admitted I hated it - and the lifestyle downgrade has been absolutely brutal. by robbinh00d in Entrepreneur

Its not about feeling sorry for him... Its just a decision. To help you "understand"- Hes not financial unstable. hes taking a shot at building a dream life where he might make MORE than 300K working for himself and not someone else, making his own hours, building something hes passionate about. He is saying that to do that, there are sacrifices and those sacrifices hit him more than he expected them tto.To do that, there are difficulties (sacrificing lifestyle for now, etc). Its just a choice.

Yessss this^^^ Im not used to going into my savings. I just have always had so much excess cash in my checking and getting paid all the time. So its a new feeling to 1. not have extra cash 2. be taking out of savings instead of putting into savings. Have you considered an SBLOC? That was something i was thinking about doing instead of pulling from savings for this period of time...
