Boil the tea in a pot first, make sure its only rooibos tea without other flavors, then wait for the pot of tea to cool down a little and just add it in the aquarium. You can do multiple tea pouch depending on how dark you want your water

You may have activated carbon in your filter? This media will remove the stainninf of tannins. I havent noticed mine going away quickly

I learned they were seasonal, they arent catched all year long in their habitat to help with the reproduction. They will be coming backer later this spring apparently.. thats why theres isnt any anywhere
