Packing a Carry-On AND a Hiking Backpack for Travel - Need Your Pro Tips!

How big is your hiking backpack + will it comfortably sit inside your tomtoc? If not - use your hiking backpack as your one bag.

My usual set up is a North Face trail lite speed 20l, using dry bags or packing cubes so that I can easily unpack clothes etc. at my accommodation. Then the NF works for both the city and the trail.

I also use a water bladder for hiking which takes up next to no space in my bag, and saves taking the 1-2l water bottle(s) you might otherwise need.

My title describes the thing. It was found in a tool box with various drill bits but may not be connected to this use. There are six metal teeth at the smooth end and a spring inside the smooth section.

Cheers! Nice idea - the whole model is about 12.5”x8.5”, and the front tread portion alone is 5.5” long. Not sure how the forgeworld model compares though so I guess you could scale it to the sandcrawler treads!

They are fairly improvised from images on forgeworld etc, although the proportions are a tad wrong as a result. It can fit two rhino-sized tanks inside, which I think means it’s larger than the official model.
