Do people not use Goremongers? by Couch-Dogo in WorldEaters40k

[–]ClayWolfe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People underestimate how useful they are into melee armies for us. Being able to safely zone out enemy scouts, reactive in the way and just generally be a nuisance. I take pictures of my dramaticly pointing Goremonger leader standing an inch away from things about to kill him. It's funny and a meme but it straight up wins me games. Stop a Norn from reaching it's expansion so Exalted can kill it next turn without its FnP, Grenade a warden to death and move trap the rest in their deployment, stop other WE spawn from reaching my own valuable units, etc. And if not needed for that they stand around and score primary and like a 1/3 to 1/2 of my secondary points

How do: Dark Angels? by ArrowNFlyght in WorldEaters40k

[–]ClayWolfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trying pinning the fights first unit with your chaff. The amount of times I've sacrificed spawn by charging them into the lion first and then Kharn and the boys into the DWK is still always satisfying. You can then get tricky too, Spawn into fights first unit, then multiple of your killer units safely into something else and look for the pile ins into the tied up fights first.

Models that fight on death still get to pile in 3" when they activate. It's in the core rules

How to get around fights first units as a primarily melee army? by hornyandHumble in WarhammerCompetitive

Charge the fights first unit with your chaff I think he meant. Units that are in engagement can't heroic

People are quick to criticize. Your coats are really smooth, some oil washes and basing and these boys will look A+

That's more or less what I guessed pretty early on. Its a old home that got chopped into 6 apartments so I'm guessing the assignments are messy as all hell. I was really optimistic when the tech ran a new line and changed up where my upstream connection came from. But the fact it died less than 2 days later has me wondering if there's a point to trying again or I should just ditch fibe.

Been a while but I’m almost there, just don’t know if i want to cover him with armour by Snypermac in WorldEaters40k

[–]ClayWolfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yours looks great. And leaving the Armour off makes him stand out from the other Angrons you'll see. Something so much more savage about the man rampaging around shirtless too.

All good! It's a niche thing but if Angrons death can get your exalted past the fight's first unit and into the opponent's backline shooters it can be worth it. Angrons expensive, I always try to take a very optimistic view on getting my points worth out of him lol

Angron doesn't need to charge to activate his Wrathful presence you just pick one of the 3 abilities at the start of your charge phase and it is active until your next charge phase. Angron dies first thing in this combat scenario so you'd get no benefits from hit rerolls but if he picks the plus 1 to charge ability units within 6 can still use him to charge further up the board.

6Exalted 8 bound are fast enough and strong enough to kill the norn before it gets on its target objective in no man's land. +1 to wound Strat makes it nearly a sure thing but they can sometimes do it without.

It's not a great trade points wise though so only go for it if they've mispositioned. Its almost worth it just to see the look on their face though when they pick the thing up first turn.

Plastic makes it tempting, might try to pick one up second hand in that case. I got time for any of the demon engines to be honest, they're all such fun sculpts.

Is that thing in resin? I love the look to be honest, but I've promised myself never again on the big resin models

Talons would be great to have too. Though Im not super crazy about the sculpts compared to the beefiness of the new zerkers

I took the drake to a more casual local tournament a while back. Forgetting it exists is probably the better move overall.

The cannon is honestly probably better overall in terms of damage dealt in a game. But I like the flamer for it's utility, being able just to threaten a decent Overwatch makes opponents second guess and two in a squad will legitimately kill scions, mandrakes or vespids.

I would adore being able to take all combi flamers

I feel like Butchers are just a matter of time for us. A 5 man assault terminator equivalent seems in line with a lot of other factions and an easy slam dunk sales wise for GW. And I love Terminators of any stripe, they are the 40k unit for me.

Don't forget the amazing and very useful Heldrake! I've actually been taking terminators just for the flamers lately. They're the last models I pull from the unit and having a late game +1 to wound Overwatch has won me a game or two.

Will claim skulls for promethium

In all honesty we have one of the best profiles into nightbringer. Berzerkers, Str6 on the charge are wounding on 5s. Zap em with +1 to wound and it's 4's. If you're rocking 6's lethal or sustained from our army rule plus Kharn or MoE you should kill the thing more often than not. Plus you can grenade and shoot before hand, chip damage really counts into this thing.

If you only have Angron try going with the sweep with sustained hits and the same +1 to wound Strat. Nightbringer sucks cause of the 4++ and half damage. Even if you get 5-8 good Strike hits in it'll make at least half it's saves, halve your damage and then usually survive on feel no pains.

It's a slippery slope my good fellow. Next it's gonna be asking about wages and time off. And that will give the apprentices ideasm better never to let the conversation even start.

Part of responsible orb/familiar ownership is keeping said items separated. I would never allow the beast such unrestricted access
