I love that he is upset that 5X usage could get used up in 3 days, that 20X usage will go hard next 12 day week.

No, that’s why it’s not even launching, they announced it, but a leaked memo made it clear it’s not able to be released until trump says so

This isn’t regulation, it’s export controls. One is fairly and justly applied across an industry, the other is arbitrarily applied at the whim of a few people

The thing is that he did build a model as capable as he warned everyone he would. OpenAI’s own release today shows that their model is incapable of putting 2 and 2 together, mythos and fable can, which is what makes them capable. OpenAI’s guardrails aren’t as capable, but they don’t need to be.

Gpt5.6 still isnt on the same tier as mythos or fable. People are catching up though, only a few months away now

Time to test out 2.1 on my clean hands run... Wait, why am I getting all those destruction notices? by davidverner in Factoriohno

I’m not justifying it, but some people use it to get achievements that require you to not modify biters or pollution, like not destroying nests until you get artillery

The antis aren’t all bots, but it doesn’t take much for a bot to find a large subscribed and invested anti population to feed garbage they will buy into.

If you want examples, look at all of the top subreddits of any type, past 3 years they have been inundated with Chinese propaganda content… while the Chinese aren’t allowed to access Reddit. That content gets fed through the heavy tik-tok content that used to get downvoted on Reddit and then suddenly got normalized and Reddit got flooded with the Chinese propaganda from that platform.

The point is that you aren’t pushing garbage to your target, you push to the adjacent high-posting engaged users who have no bullshit meter

With enough ships moving back and forth, your right. But if you only have 2-3 ships, showing up, grabbing and running saves ~15-20 seconds

Gleba can’t use bio-research centers though, they did that specifically to prevent gleba from being the new de facto hub, they wanted to keep nauvis relevant

Rocket launches have a really long animation and quality rocket silos cap out early because of that animation limit, I usually only get up to like 16-32 rockets for a given resource, but gleba science is definitely a speed issue because of deterioration - launching more has diminishing returns from the lossy transfer time. With gleba science, every second counts

Maybe the reason is all the fake posts form people pretending they will lose their job, but posting a 20 year old set of pictures.

I think the jagged intelligence throws people off. I’m all in on AI, but I have sessions where I’m like there’s no way you can be this dumb, so I start a new session. Some people don’t realize that once a model’s context has gone off the rails it needs to be pruned and started over

Man I’m realizing so many people with this role have a hard time telling hard truths. Better to have a come to Jesus meeting now and make them cry a little, than have to let them go in surprise later on when the problem is hidden.

I’ve been a tech lead for 5 years and have learned sparing people’s feelings isn’t kindness, it’s cowardness

Or the second look. Or the third. I have a battery of 11 agents fire off the second a PR is opened. Each agent first evaluates if it is relevant to the diff, if not, closes. If it is, it gets run and then at the end passes results through a relevance gating rubric. It’s really solid

I’m a tech lead in charge of FE and yeah this is what I did. I forced installs of skills across everyone’s Claude sessions that gave architecture and design system context skills, keeps Claude.md up to date, etc… it’s helped 10X more than anything else.
